Submitted by dante on Mon, 11/26/2007 - 01:25The more I see ads like these the more I am glad Dr. Paul lifted the scales off of my eyes in regards to politics. I think I see through everything and everyone now.

Joe Scarborough was fawning all over Huck this morning
He is getting good help spining his message to sound like he is a constitutionalist. Of course, his solution is government regulation of chinese imports for safety.

This article just knocked my socks off. If there is any truth to this, and it appears there is -- because I think we're all surprised by Huckabee's inexplicable rise in the polls despite no fundraising and his phony credentials -- if there is truth to this, it shows how we really have no control over what happens to us. The polls, the voting machines, the entire system is rigged.
It would seem...
that he is a calculated puppet that would easily lose in the General Election so push (engineer) the chaff to the front in the primary setting up a huge loss in the General...Does that make sence? That's why no help on pushing Ron Paul from the media. He's too solid.

it is scary, but that article is not 100% accurate
Just to clarify, the NAU processes aren't proposing to replace our governmental structures and processes, they're proposing to augment and/or supercede them. It'd be like the EU: the old stuff is still there, it just doesn't have the autonomy it used to, since there's now a new voice telling it what to do and not do.
But, yes, we do need to do something about these entities. #1 priority IMO is education. Tell people!! (Be patient though; you'll sound crazy if you try to "convert" people in 1 chat.)

Huck's tax plan
You want a joke? Mike Huckabee's tax plan. Now that's funny, unless you're working middle class people.
Under Mr. Hucakbee's plan we would pay a flat tax on purchased items similar to sales tax.
Under his tax plan the poor would pay no tax. This is similar to what we have now.
Under his plan, the wealthy who save and invest the majority of their income would pay very low taxes. As they would pay no tax on the income they did not spend or on the proceeds of investments, their contribution to the tax structure would be extremely limited.
The burden of the taxes under Mr. Huckabee's plan would fall to working class people who are using the greatest majority of their incomes to purchase items to survive.
What we should do instead is dramatically reduce our overseas presence and take care of our needs at home with the billions of dollars that are otherwise spent on this country's failed foreign policy. The same policy that Mr. Hucakbee supports.
A joke yes, funny....NO
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Some research on Huck..

Ever since the CFR connection
Huck has been getting more press and seems to have climbed way up the polls overnight.
Something stinks
Huckabee is starting to look
Huckabee is starting to look like all the other handpicked big government candidates. That kind of image is pretty ironic given the message of his commercials. Poor Huck. We don't want a polished spender. America needs an honest spendthrift, Ron Paul 2008.

Brought tears to my eyes,
pucking always does that to me.

I almost hit the "flag as offensive" link
because that Huckabee commercial was pretty offensive...
The official name of Iran is "The Islamic Republic of Iran."
It seems to me that under Huckabee's presidency, we'd turn into
The "Judeo-Christian Republic of America"

very good point
If you really want to protect freedom of religion, you have to protect everyone's freedom...to choose which religion or to choose no religion, or to change one's mind and behavior back and forth, etc.
This crusade business is just exploiting the base emotions of the populace.
