Money may force Bunning to rethink re-election bid
* AP foreign, Tuesday May 5 2009
ROGER ALFORD
Associated Press Writer= FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) â Kentucky's embattled junior senator said Tuesday he'll reconsider running for a third term if he doesn't meet his fundraising goals.
Over the past several months, Republican Sen. Jim Bunning has continued to insist he's still in the race even as GOP leaders have sent not-so-subtle signals that he should bow out rather than face what will likely be a strong Democratic challenge.
On Tuesday, he slammed GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell, blaming his fellow Kentucky Republican for losing Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter to the Democrats and costing the party Senate seats.

I knew it.
the Neo-Cons will throw money Bunning's way to keep Rand Paul down.

International exposure for
a Kentucky senate race. Who are these Ron Paul people?

You got it
Right on. who are these people.
You have to think that Bunning and other opposition candidates are well aware of the money raising Ron Paul did and the records set.
And they all saw all the Ron Paul people all over the world, the 1500 meet up groups, and the fact that every candidate had Ron Paul people converge at every press conference, all rooting for RON PAUL.
And they shudder at the thought that all that energy would be brought to one simple, lowly Senate race. We shook up the Presidential race; we set money raising records; we turned every online poll to winning for Ron Paul; we turned up in droves all across the country.
And when Rand Paul says this is the time for all for all good men to come to the aid of the country, they know we will respond, by the thousands, on the ground in Kentucky; by the millions on line and around the world; by the many millions of dollars we will step up and change the race, and a revolution will be continued, gloriously, and more will follow, seeing our victory, and it will become ever easier; not easy but we will see the reality of winning and therefore winning back our country and our freedom; and when we look back many years from now we will sit in our chairs and know we did the right thing; we were there when it counted; that we were lucky to have a moment and for that moment we fought for all men who desired freedom and it was the moment we had all lived for all or lives.
And when they realize that we will do whatever it takes to win that election, they will shudder, because when we can turn one election, we can turn another election, and that can change the world.
I will be in Kentucky - will you? In our lifetimes there may not be another such pivotal moment - and if we rise to the occasion we will lay the path for more victories.
The RNC can not afford to ignore us; they wonder if we will respond; they hope they can avoid us; like the French taking Bastille , our victory is assured and we will storm the halls of our legislatures and there will be a moment when the old supporters of the status quo will see the handwriting on the wall and begin to echo our words, and our thoughts, and say 'hey I was really with you all the time'; sure, buddy, but they will be useful idiots and we will slowly replace them like boiling a lobster so they don't realize the water is becoming hotter; and the liars among them will be cast out on the ash heap of history as Reagan used to say.
We are coming - and it will be awesome when we are called. Are you listening Obama?
I am so proud of us, those 'Ron Paul people'.
