Oklahoma census project Misrepresenting their actual task..my run in
Greetings my fellow freedom lovers.
I have been sticking around the place for the last few weeks waiting for our census people, to make sure that my front door isn't mapped or otherwise noted for any reason. Today, actually about thirty minutes ago, I had the pleasure of meeting my lady "Kathleen".
What struck me as odd and warranted this post was our conversation and what I consider either ignorance or trickery. Her misrepresentation of what she was actually doing could be very telling.
Those of you that know I can get hot under the collar when provoked or moved please understand that though my words (not to mention the 180lb dogs) might be rather menacing, they were truthful, forceful, and more importantly educating.
Our conversation:
Kathleen: Hello, I'm Kathleen and I'm with the nationwide mapping project, I just need to....(unfortunately interupted)
Dale: Please don't go near my front door.
Kathleen: uhh uhh Do what?
Dale: I'm sorry ma'am but I don't feel the need for my home to be put on a map, anyone welcome in my home knows where I live.
Kathleen: So you don't want your home to be included in the Digital 911 System?
Dale: Absolutely not. From what I understand you work for the census and are mapping homes on the Federal Level. It is my firm belief that the Federal Government has no purpose or right to a GPS map of my home. The federal government has to much power as it is, I'm not going to stand down and let them get even more over me and my family.
Kathleen: But this is for a 911 system.....and I just need to map your front door and I will go.
Dale: First of all you will not map my front door, do you see that road at the bottom of the hill?
Kathleen: Yes
Dale: My house faces that road, and my address is from that road, so your going to have to go around, walk up that big hill, and then go through me and a couple of large dogs if you want to map my front door.
Kathleen: You won't let me just walk around the house?
(about this time my voice gets very agitated and the two loving 180lb Greay Pyrs begin to circle poor Kathleen...it was a sight..LOL)
Dale: Your not getting it are you? I have told you that you are not to trespass on my property now or at any time in the future...any future trespass or sneaking around my property will be seen and taken as a direct threat to the well being of my family and will be dealt with as I see fit.
Kathleen: What does that mean?
Dale: It means first of all...I don't call the dogs off of anyone who is trespassing...secondly if I feel that you are armed, such as that taser like instrument in your hand, I will use deadly force, what caliber has yet to be determined.
Kathleen: Sorry I bothered you, I'll be leaving now.
Dale: Nothing personal but you should take a deep look into what you are actually doing, where this information is headed, and what possible uses it may have. Have a great day.
(1) She is either running into a lot of resistance with her job (which is very possible around here), so she took it upon herself to change her tactics.
(2) She actually doesn't know who the heck she works for or what she is doing.
(3) The whole "system" is misrepresenting their job because of resistance.
(4) Maybe there is some truth to this that I hadn't heard yet. Maybe this is for the soon to be national 911 system, which would basically confirm every fear I have had about this "project".
Thoughts? Besides the fact that she will now turn me in as a likely terrawrist...LOL

Interesting Account.
The Census canvassed my neighborhood a few weeks ago. (Lafayette, La.)
I happened to open the door to leave with this guy standing on my front porch. I don't know if he was about to knock or not. He said he was with the Census (was wearing an ID badge around his neck) and he was simply verifying addresses. He asked if my house was "xxx street." I looked at him like he had lost his mind since just to his right in 6" wooden letters are my house #'s plain as day. I confirmed the address being just what those numbers right in front of his face say it was, and he thanked me and went on to the neighbor's house, presumably to continue. He didn't have any GPS or other device on him that I could see - just a clip board that he used to check off my address when I confirmed it.
After pulling out of the driveway I noticed a white un-marked van with him and a few others standing around chatting. None of them had any devices that could presumably be a GPS that I noticed, just clipboards.
Maybe there are REAL Census canvas people out there, and maybe there are some people acting under COLOR OF LAW as Census workers that are working for someone else. Could we be dealing with multiple groups (at least 2 - one legit, one not) and hence the different stories and actions/tactics?
I do vaguely recall some sort of pre-Census canvas last time around, so this didn't strike me as unusual.
The guy at my house at least attempted to look legit with a badge. (Though I'm sure it could easily be faked since the last time they were around was 10 years ago) And he only had a clipboard. Maybe they walked the street and GPS'd every house first and then he was the supervisor double checking. I don't know.
I do know that Google Maps is very often WRONG on where an address is located on a street. (as bad as 1/2 mile in my personal experience) I think it has something to do with their algorithms calculating an approximate location for a specific numbered address based on a set distance between addresses rather than any fed in accurate data.
I also can't think of one damned good reason why the Census needs the GPS coordinates of my house. It's not like the U.S. Mail works off GPS for crying out loud. The only reason for needing GPS for anything is:
A) To know where you are.
B) To find something.
Since I'm the one here, then it isn't for A
Which must mean someone wants to be able to pin point my address remotely - and EXACTLY.
And since the U.S. Mail doesn't need to do that as they are already quite efficiently get my postal matter to me, then this can only be for the purpose of "targeting."
But why would any federal agency need to "target" every house in America and exactly what would they be using to do so?
I can think of only ONE type of scenario that anyone needs specific GPS coordinates, for targeting purposes, of any building: guided munitions.
But this seems nearly absurd on it's face. Do they plan to surgically "remove" any potential resistance? That's a crap load of smart bombs and they aren't cheap.
Any vets or active duty out there can fill us in on how urban combat works like in Falujah? Did you guys GPS everything and use that down on the street level?
Perhaps this isn't just a U.S. project? Combine this with the treaty that will share gun owner information with foreign governments and you have a very nasty scenario:
An outright invasion of the CONUS is currently impossible because of the vast number of gun owners in America. If the world thought Falujah was a hell hole nightmare, wait till a foreign power is trying to take one of our 'smaller' large cities. (something in the 100k- 500k range in population)
While addresses, street names, etc. would be just as useful in urban combat for our own military, GPS is like a universal language and can be comprehended by any FOREIGNER. They don't need to know how or where to find "123 Any Street." They have GPS. (especially since "123 Any street," may not exactly lie between 121 and 125 - that sort of stuff happens in real life. Many addresses in my personal experience are not exactly where they should be. I have personal experience of two addresses on a street - 5937 and 6005 that are next door to each other with no room in between for more than a driveway. And they are backwards at that since the 6005 comes before the 5937!! Add in the 1/2 and A/B/C etc. addresses that are retrofit to existing layouts and you can see how confusing it might get for a foreigner to figure it out.)
So the GPS of every front door would be useful for targeting resistance AHEAD of an invasion. Take out as many known gun owning homes as possible first, and then the rest that you don't know about will be easier to deal with. It could also be used simply as a fear tactic. It could be used once or twice, here and there, and reported in the news as "terrorists" being taken out here at home by our own govt. The story would most likely be that they thwarted an imminent massive attack and this was the "only" way to do it for timing purposes and for the "safety" of police. Of course the neighbors will be pissed off to all hell, and know better, but the rest of the country won't. Even if they did, which they might see right through it, it won't matter -
Without opening too big a can-o-worms, I highly suspect more people at a gut level KNEW that 9/11 was an inside job and saw it for what it was - an excuse to go to war, and to crackdown on liberty. Hell I was standing there shaking my head watching it telling people that very fact as it was happening live on TV and they thought I was nuts. (maybe not all of them) The VERY first words out of my mouth when I woke up that morning was: "The bastards finally did it." I was expecting this back around Y2K. I thought Waco might have even been what I was waiting for. So when it did finally happen, and "terrorism" was instantly blamed, I knew exactly what I was witnessing when it happened and I told everyone around me so.
But when faced with such a blatant attack, many people will cower in fear and even deny what they know to be real because they cannot cope with the implications of reality and they cannot face what that means they then have to do about it.
As long as incidents are few and far between, they don't have to do much, just be widely reported and people will get the hint: comply or die.
When faced with this false choice, many will choose to comply and will even tell themselves it is right to do so and that the government is doing the right thing, because to admit the truth scares the hell out of them that doing even that might be a death sentence.
So, is the Census just being used as a 'cover story?'
WOW
Thats incredible Dale. I sure do miss God's Country. There is no way to do something like that here.
Do you remember a couple years back when that guy was trying to set off all those devices at the OU game next to the med center? I recall the local news in norman saying "Head for the Hills! There be terrible virus inside that med center!" Right next to the friggin stadium!
Immediately following, national news got on to downplay it and local stopped reporting it. It sure was odd that 86,000 people got locked down in a stadium, while the other half of town was evacuating.
What was even weirder was that it never really made it into the national news afterward. I guess it was never a 'sponsored' event.
The county (not the feds)
tried to "911" me a few years ago. Even got a threatening letter from the county attorney. The majority of my community doesn't even have land lines. They were unsuccessful. Oh, and I 'll bet a 30 pack that the census does not show up at my door. Fences, locked (electronic) gates and explicit no-trespassing signs are effective.

Happy to say I was home
Happy to say I was home today when he got here!
he drove up in the drive and came straight to my work shop.
Got his reading and visited long enough to say who he was with, and then left.
He never asked if the building was my house and I didn't volunteer.
They may blow up the work shop, but they'll be a few thousand feet from the underground house.
ha ha ha!
too funny! maybe I will move my bed into the chicken coop before they come here. Thats my outbuilding furthest from my house...
btw- did you get my email?

Look what I found at
the census website, you have to look in the schedule table under November 2008 to July 2009. It mentions hand held GPS computers. http://www.census.gov/geo/www/luca2010/luca.html
Did she cross-reference your phone number?
I mean, they'd have to get your phone number and cross-ref it with the GPS coordinates for that to do any good.

Bingo...
she didn't get anything from me but a really bad taste in her mouth...I bet it was cigarette break time when she left my house. :O)
"Federal 911 System"?
Like, if you call 911, they are going to dispatch the EMT from Washington DC, or something?
Let's face it.
A "Federal 911 System" make absolutely no sense, even superficially.
It's an obvious lie. They have nothing at all to do with local emergency services.
The only "emergency" they need this info for, is to send the emergency SWAT team to kick in your door, after they determine you haven't turned in your gun, or if you haven't reported to the "quarantine center".
This is obviously nefarious activity.
However, I'm certain that "Kathleen" has no idea what it's all about, and she's just a little minion who's carrying out the tasks, getting paid a few dollars an hour to punch everybody's house into the system, and she has utterly no idea what it's going to be used for eventually.
She's just a "mule".
They have no need to tell her anything.
They gave her an "excuse" to give anyone who asks about it, which would sound sufficient to the average drooling morons who watch mainstream media news.

you weren't reading my mind were you? Ignorance is bliss I guess.
I was at my son's house when the GPS lady came
I told her it wasn't my house and I could not give her permission to do anything--she would have to come back when he was home.
They are apparently coached to not mention that they are using a GPS to mark your door---and, of course, I mentioned it and discussed with her that the govt is too intrusive, census is only to enumerate in order to have the proper representation in Congress. (she knew this)
Most disturbing is that they take the liberty to GPS if you are not home to object! I am purchasing a No Trespassing sign to put at the end of my driveway.
Signs don't stop them!
We have a 1/2 mile driveway up to our home posted with No Trespassing and Private Drive signs. This did not stop our GPS lady last Thursday in central PA. As she drove up to our garage, my husband had just picked up his .22 rifle to go after a groundhog, and this obviously flustered her. She hurriedly explained that she was with the Census Bureau and she needed to get a GPS mapping of our house. At that time, I was not aware that anything like this was happening, and being totally caught off-guard, we said nothing except that I thought it was a waste of taxpayer money to be doing that when the actual census was being done by mail. This whole event has left me very uneasy,

No problem...
I'm available...LOL
I've yet to see any census
I've yet to see any census people.. EVER.
I'm at work during the day time hours so I have a feeling I'll never see these people.
What the heck do I know....
...but I would guess that she was honest and forthright with you. She truly believes that what she is doing is good for the community...if you were to dial 9-1-1 and needed help, this "system" would make getting the meat wagon to your front door faster and easier. My opinion is that SHE was lied to when she signed up for this job.

she was very unannounced...
I saw her drive by in her purple pt cruiser about five times before she finally would pull in. We don't have much traffic around here on my back road to the house, and we certainly don't have purple pt cruisers driving down the road, so I stayed around waiting to see if they would finally pull in.
She was the gps lady....but I might have mistaken it for a taser. :O)
