TMZ "Ron Paul Still Bitter About That Election Thing" ?!

On the heels of Dr. Paul's excellent interview with Rachel Maddow last night, there is a report on TMZ attempting to margenalize the good doctor. This is a great opportunity to shed some "truth" to TMZ devotees.

Report and video on TMZ today:

Ron Paul Still Bitter About That Election Thing

Posted May 6th 2009 1:00AM by TMZ Staff

We asked two Congressmen about the love affair the press has with President Barack Obama -- one told us it "won't last forever, his policies are so bad." The other called him "the greatest, just like Mohammad Ali."...

Fringe Media Backlash Against Paul in Progress.

Obviously, our ideas are getting out there due to our linkage to the Tea Parties, and the numerous spotlights on Dr. Paul's prescriptions for the economy.

The liberal Democrats openly hate us...the neo-con Republicans secretly hate us (but put up with us to a degree, because they want to co-opt our movement, and temporarily use it to reenergize the GOP).

Fantastic!

A guy on the street stops the good Dr. and says "Don't steal, the government hates competition." and Ron, without missing a beat replies "I heard that somewhere." :-) great moment, made me smile.

"You are a den of Vipers.I intend to rout you out and by the Eternal God I will rout you out."

For an informed citizenry, individuals must discard the television set in favor of the acquisition of information via either books and/or the internet. An uneducated populous will remain in ignorance and thus continue to suffer the sharp ax of tyranny.

Wow, TMZ is better than I

Wow, TMZ is better than I thought. Too bad celebrity watchers don't give politicians the same level of scrutiny as movie stars. You get to see how they these guys behave in an unscripted street conversation.

TMZ: We asked two Congressmen about the love affair the press has with President Barack Obama -- one told us it "won't last forever, his policies are so bad." The other called him "the greatest, just like Mohammad Ali."

Paul:
Paul is amused by the question and casually gives his honest opinion of the president's policies. He never answers a question when he doesn't know. He doesn't take sides with the president. He has a clear understanding of what his role is, so the camera doesn't bother him.

TMZ: How you doin' congressman?
Paul:
TMZ: Congressman the white house correspondence dinner this year, do you think president obama's gonna get the same treatment that president bush got with the jokes?
Paul: I have no idea and I don't have a whole lot of concern about it.
TMZ: Do you think they're gonna take it easy on him?
Paul: I have no idea.
TMZ: What about the press having a, kinda, sorta, love for Obama. Undercover.
Paul: Oh well, that won't last forever, because the policies are so bad.
TMZ: If you had one good joke for president Obama what would it be?
Paul: Oh, I'm not very good at jokes. The world's in bad shape if we need to joke about it.

Cohan:
Cohen gives dumb, obvious answers to all questions. He looks awkward and unsure of himself, like a man who doesn't understand his role there very well.

TMZ: Cohan, Do you think the press, the whitehouse correspondents this year are going to give president obama a break?
Cohen: They don't give anybody a break. That's not the purpose of the dinner, but I'm sure he'll come back and trump him.
TMZ: Do you think they'll have a couple sarcastic jokes for him?
Cohen: I'm sure they will... That's the process.
TMZ: If you had one sarcastic joke for the president what would it be?
Cohen: Oh I wouldn't have a sarcastic comment about president obama... nah he's too good
TMZ: You gotta be fair
Cohen: I am fair. He's the greatest! Just like Mohammad Ali?

So far we've gotten about 50

So far we've gotten about 50 comments on this thing. If we can get over 171 it will be on their "top five most commented on." Let's make this go viral!

TMZ = total garbage

Why pay them any mind?

I thought about registering a website to push for a boycott of TMZ stations and sponsors when they came out, because they are the most vacuous, pathetic type of empty "infotainment" imaginable, but is it really worth the effort? In the end, all you do is give them and their trashmonger founder Harvey Levin more attention.

We're becoming a society where out entertainment is garbage, but WORSE, just talking about the people INVOLVED in that trash passes as "entertainment."

Typical TMZ segment: "Hey, I saw that guy who was in a few movies in the mid-90s taking out his trash. Look, he's got a beer gut! Ha!" There is no more pathetic waste of resources and time than that show.

So let us never speak of it again.

(#12) as soon as I got it in my google update this morning -- still receiving those Ron Paul googles! --

***How could Ron Paul be "still bitter" when he never was?

And you mean we actually had an election? I could have sworn it was a 3-ring media circus complete with rigged, unauditable machines and a predetermined outcome.

What's "bitter," though, is how people are going to be feeling after they realize they've been duped by Obama's empty rhetoric and promises, and that he's just continuing the Bush agenda of endless wars, stealing the taxpayers' money and sneering at the Constitution.***

I like it!

Turn their own garbage attempt to discredit people back on them. Compare Obama to Bush.

Are there

actual people who visit that TMZ website?
I mean, on purpose?
If so, we're even worse-off than I thought.

Don't Worry

These are the jokers who actually care about TMZ

enjoyed everyone's comments. YEAH it totally shows who bought and paid for TMZ....cripes.

The comments are fab

Which one of you is Ron Paul 2012? Love that one....."Ron Paul would destroy you in a celebrity death match."

Colchester, New London County, Connecticut

the best ~ bump for those comments!

~
I remember when someone wrote a catty article on Ron Paul re the Bruno film... another time when they experienced massive commentary blowback from us.

After a while these smear merchants will grow tired of being shamed for disparaging such an obviously good man with his pristine voting record.

______
Comment and humorous (metaphorical) observation... ;-)

25. Why is Congressman Cohen schlepping his dirty bed sheets around Washington?

I like the comments section :)

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !

It's very sad that the base intelligence has dropped so far

We officially live in "He said, she said land". If someone who ran for office doesn't like the winner's policies, they're just bitter about losing---cause it's all a scam anyway and nobody has those values thingys anymore. Sad, sad, sad.
