An update from Oklahoma.
The state law passed a few days ago, 37 to 9, (had a few liberals in the mix) an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...!
Guess what..........We did it anyway.
We recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from, unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. Hope we didn't send any of them to your state. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.

Yesterday we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional.

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set back for the Kennedys and Ms Pelosi.

By the way, Obama does not like any of this.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. That, for your information, makes Oklahoma and Texas the only states to do so. Guess what.........More states are likely to follow. Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, both Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, just to name a few. Should Mississippi act, so will Florida. Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again.

Stop the income tax
You want to provoke the Feds? Pass a law that makes it illegal for any company in Oklahoma to withhold income tax and illegal for the Feds to collect it from your citizens unless they are Federal Workers....then you will have a fight on your hands. You are taking away the Feds lively hood then, thats fighting words.

That might have a tough time passing it. If it doesn't work try: The State of Oklahoma collecting the tax from its citizens and then deciding how much the Federal government deserves based upon the cease and desist letter that was the Oklahoma sovereignty bill. Ex. if the federal government ceases taking over private companies and desisting in the fact it controls private corporations then the state of Oklahoma will give it a portion.
Also, pass some reasonable legislation that stops taxing public workers. EX. School teachers should not be taxed at all. Lower their nominal income and raise their realized income.
Example- A teacher makes 60,000 a year; however, because of taxes only really makes about 35,000-40,000.
Allow teachers to actually make 45-50k while not having to pay income taxes which actually saves every tax payer money since they earn a taxed income that is from taxes and not only that but it takes taxes to collect that taxed income.
That is exactly
what we need to do.

Now, why don't you make it possible for third parties and third party candidates to get on the ballot. Oklahoma has a "Catch-22" law against third parties on the books that is unfair to Oklahoma citizens and the rest of us as well.

I applaud you. Dixie county in Florida is a lot of southern rebels who proudly fly the confederate flag. When the judge from Alabama was ousted for keeping the 10 commandments, some rebel boys had a granite monument made of the 10 commandments and the inscription on the bottom says something like fear God and keep his commandments. When the ACLU threatened to come down to Dixie county, those rebel boys said, "Bring it on. We'll greet you but you won't take our 10 commandments away no matter what." Yesterday, I went to Tallahassee and stopped by the Dixie courthouse, those 10 commandments were front and center just before you enter the courthouse.
When people stand up for their rights, they win and that's why so many young people like Ron Paul - he is a freedom lover.

don't you find it ironic that the transcontinential nau hwy passes through TX and OK before it heads north between state lines? Don't you wonder if sovreignity is there to help the transcontinential hwy or hinder it?
