Ron Paul: Rockstar - FREE Seattle Posters
The C4L Seattle Regional Conference is coming up soon, so I made some posters. I made these to portray Dr. Paul as exactly what he is: a rock star. Here are the free downloads if you live in Seattle and want to print some up and pass them around. Click on the image for the FREE .pdf versions. Feel free to print, reproduce & distribute widely!
I also did a very limited hand print run of these - an edition of just 20 (see pics below). I'm sending one to Dr. Paul (whether he wants it or not!) and three are already spoken for, so that leaves exactly 16 left. If you want one don't delay! These are hand screened, signed & numbered on 100% cotton, acid-free archival paper. Fifty bucks each, including shipping.
Sold Out! Thank you to everyone who purchased one!
Please see my Revolutionary Posters site for availability of other posters.
I think this is my favorite poster so far. It is a little rough - not super clean like some of the others posters I've done, but like a real rock & roll poster! I'm in the process of putting together a website with all the posters I've done so far. Stay tuned, and thank you for your ongoing support!
See below for photos of me involved in the printing process & the final product. This is something I absolutely love doing.
Each color is a separate layer, which are printed one at a time. The red & yellow layers are already printed:
Aligning the poster for the final, blue layer - I use a sheet of duralar (clear plastic), which is taped to my work table to do the alignment. The duralar shows where the image will go, and I align the poster I'm about to print underneath it. When I've got it where I want it, I fold back the plastic and lower the screen.

Below you can see the screen, which is loaded with ink. The screen is on hinges that are screwed into the table, so the alignment with the duralar is perfect.

That's me, pulling the ink through the screen with a big squeegee. The ink goes through the open areas in the screen and onto the paper.

Before I print the next poster, I have to reload the screen with ink.

And the final product. Exactly twenty one of a kind posters to commemorate this event.

I thought you were black

you love doing it?
then why stop at 20?
why not make 50, 100, 200?
You certainly spent time and money making the screens, printing it is the fast and easy part. Especially if you can sell them for $50 a piece.
You seem very good at doing these posters, I think you should do them more often and make more, it's a easy way for you to raise money for your site. It definitely beats waiting on donations and selling advertising.
I understand, the less you make, the higher value, but even if you made 100 a week, you can still sell them for $20, go figure, you're a smart man, why limit the prints when you can make money, and show your art to appreciating Ron Paul revolutionists?
Why not make 100?
Because regardless of price, the max I sell is about 20. There is cost in terms of time & materials to making 100. The paper and ink is not cheap, and there's no point making that many only to have 80 sit dormant in the basement.
If you want any of the previous editions, they are here:

I made the free pdfs so anyone can print them off and have them for free.
how do you know you won't
how do you know you won't sell 'em?
I guess I know nothing about expensive paper and ink, but would you make more if demand comes? There is indeed time & material costs, and some posters sell better than others. You can even take pre-orders and make them after you've been paid!

Try using eBay, it'll quickly show the count, whether you're doing fix price or auction.
Yes, eBay has fees, but if you have lots of posters and merchandise to manage, it's worth the time saved.
Curious
First impression...
Just curious how Dr. Paul ended up with what looks like a 'Hitler' mustache!?
Wondering which picture that came from?
Also it might play into the anarchist's and pure libertarian version of no government, or the opposite of Dr. Paul, being tyrannical control of people by the cult leader!
There are those who would wish such, and who likewise also claim Paul as their leader, and there are those in the CFR who would like to see this happen to Congressman Paul's image!
