Are We in the Biblical End Times?

Or are the powers that be manipulating events to make it appear that way?

By whether control, wars, pending famine, due to food control laws and GMO's, test tube pandemics, etc.

And parading any number of people in front of the public who could be considered the anti-Christ.

sure whatever!!!

Biblical prophecy is bohunk. Jack Van Impe is a liar. All these guys like Impe and Rod Parsley are snake oil salesman.

Christians are good people, but there are some within the flock who seek to make a profit off of the rest of them, by continuing this shroud of impending doom. If the end times weren't always just on the horizon, than Jack Van Impe and a lot of these pastors would be out of a lot of money!!!

We are at the end of the "Age"

Realize the origins of religion and the bible.

"Hell is truth seen too late...duty neglected in its season."- Tryon Edwards

"Human beings with love and compassion are some of the most beautiful creatures in the universe... Those without are a plague on us all."

That word Translated AGE

in the bible.

is "eon"..

It is a specific astrological term of the time from pices to aquarius, ect.

yes sir you are correct!!!

NO

.

We're in the END times

We're in the END times alright. If we don't rise up and stop these crazy people that run things, we can kiss our rear END goodby. (-:

Good one!

Mindset

I can't live with that mindset. Even the Bible says "Only the Father knows the day". I mean why would anyone plan or look forward to the future, grandchildren, another summer, if they believed this was the end. Any one of us might die tomorrow, but most of us have to keep living like we are building a future we look forward to on this Earth. Believing we are near the end is just an excuse to do nothing. It may or may not be, but we have to trust in better tomorrows and keep working for them.

the book says

We are to keep doing business until the end come. We keep fighting to the last moment. I think the middle east is the focus of the end times. The USA is not a major player, Russia will be defeated at the start of the final 7-8 years before the end. More likely is the USA will be nuked out of the picture. It is a very bleak picture to people attached to this world.

I enjoy the fight to see america survive, I just don't think we win. But we may make progress toward freedom and I will gladly take any victory we can toward that end until the end.

Lets keep fighting!

BIG BOOM! Wow, so thats how we got here.

The Book

Hasn't been updated in a while, I listen to my heart and invite wisdom.
We should all be fighting for Good no matter what religion. We should only concern ourselves with being on the side of what is best, not what religion. What if there was a Universal effort to project energy to our goal all at one time?
I don't like dogma, but have no understanding of life without the knowledge of a Higher Power that connects us all. Well most of us anyway. Those of us who are here fighting for what we know is right. We may not agree on Faith, but who without a strong faith in good would even be here in the first place? We all share the same goal.

Given the history of the world...

we are either in the Biblical "End Times" or one more elaborate scam by the evil Yahweh and his Zionist friends.

I am really beginning to

I am really beginning to doubt that this is, in fact, the Biblical end times. My reason is this: the current crisis is too western focused. We forget that in Bible times, the Middle East is really the epicenter of the prophecies. However, the New World Order is heavily driven from the western world with western Europe and the United States being the major driving forces. Also, I just do not see a one world government being able to form with very strong and patriotic populations in China, Russia, and elsewhere. People just are not yet ready for it, and while the economic collapse will likely wipe out America and Western Europe, I see Asia coming out of it with a lot of strength.

What I believe we are witnessing is the fall of Western Civilization. We are seeing a major powershift to the east much like the fall of Rome and the transition to the Byzantine empire -- only this time the new empire will be Russia, India, and China. It will be the end of our world as we know it, but life will go on.

I could be wrong, and I am certainly not going to be dogmatic on this, but this is the impression that has been growing in my mind.

NO

The bible is just a book written (and rewritten) by humanzees. Any resemblance to events or persons alive or deceased is merely a coincidence.

It can act as a self fulfilling prophecy, discouraging folks who simply give up.

An afterlife where a god will conveniently punish wrongdoers creates a world where true believers become apathetic about justice.

woo hoo!

Furthermore....

Revelation was predicting the coming of Nero. A prophecy that has come to pass.

"This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave."

And a world without God.....

Makes objective universal entities such as Morality and Truth become subjective. Subjectivism leads to Relativism. Relativism leads to fatalism.

The very concept of Justice and is a Biblical one. We based our constitution on it.

"This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave."

"This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave."

Religion

Has no monopoly on morality, justice and truth.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
woo hoo!

And morality, justice and truth.....

are absurd within the empirical worldview of the atheist. How can the perception of particulars of one collection of chemical and biological firings relate in any way, objectively, to another collection of chemical and biological firings? I never said anything about religion as a whole. I am referring to the God of the Christian Bible. And yes you can barrow from my worldview in terms of Objective Truth, uniformity of nature, laws of logic and Justice, but you are abandoning your worldview when doing so.

"This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave."

Rosalind Franklin said it well:

"You frequently state, and in your letter you imply, that I have developed a completely one-sided outlook, and look at everything and think of everything in terms of science. Obviously my method of thought and reasoning is influenced by a scientific training - if that were not so my scientific training will have been a waste and a failure. But you look at science (or at least talk of it) as some sort of demoralising invention of man, something apart from real life, and which must be cautiously guarded and kept separate from everyday existence. But science and everyday life cannot and should not be separated. Science for me, gives a partial explanation of life. In so far as it goes, it is based on fact, experience and experiment. Your theories are those which you and many other people find easiest and pleasantest to believe, but so far as I can see, they have no foundation other than they lead to a pleasanter view of life (and an exaggerated idea of our own importance)…

"I agree that faith is essential to success in life (success of any sort) but I do not accept your definition of faith, i.e. belief in life after death. In my view, all that is necessary for faith is the belief that by doing our best we shall come nearer to success and that success in our aims (the improvement of the lot of mankind, present and future) is worth attaining. Anyone able to believe in all that religion implies obviously must have such faith, but I maintain that faith in this world is perfectly possible without faith in another world…

"It has just occurred to me that you may raise the question of a creator. A creator of what? […] I see no reason to believe that a creator of protoplasm or primeval matter, if such there be, has any reason to be interested in our insignificant race in a tiny corner of the universe, and still less in us, as still more insignificant individuals. Again, I see no reason why the belief that we are insignificant or fortuitous should lessen our faith - as I have defined it."

"Pavlov fed dogs everyday,

"Pavlov fed dogs everyday, trained them to sit in special places before he fed them and lavished praise when they did. One day he would use cattle prods on them and made them sit elsewhere, then lavished praise again. After repeating this technique a few times, the dogs when they saw him coming would simply stand with eyes down and quake and shiver because pleasing the deity seemed impossible."

What the hell are you

What the hell are you talking about? Every post you make is irrelevant or full of ignorance. All you're getting out of me is a laugh at your remarks and further ignoring at all of your posts...keep up the useless work.

Michael needs to add a ignore function so we don't have to waste our time on these people who join the forums to act as idiots instead of bring about useful information or intelligent debates, the sad thing is you are probably 20 years older than me, grow up.

On The Threshold

on the doorstep .... one thing for sure - we are closer every day -
seriously, these are the days where the "signs" are to be noticed and we are to be looking up .... when millions will disappear from around the world - then the "end times" will be ushered in .... of course there are different doctrines involved for prophetic times - to me the Bible speaks of the 'great snatch" (disappearance of all believers or rapture) 7 year tribulation (3 1/2 years of peace, a psuedo utopia) second 3 1/2 years judgment, plagues disasters etc... then final conflict - Armageddon in the Valley of Meggido (sp?)
(this is the actual second coming) - ushering into the 1000 year reign -

maranatha!

Precisely . . .

Then there is the Final end/war, then the Paradise will be set up. I like it.

The one world religion . . .

is a coming together, the "one" deal. It is a counterfeit of the one Body of Christ, the church. Although it must come to pass, so as to get everyone on board so that the antichrist can emerge so that everyone can worship him together and be deceived. It is so exciting!

In Matthew Jesus says

Be ye not deceived, talking about this very thing.

They are following the

They are following the script as planned, it's all a matter of controlling the society into believing certain events "must" take place, in order to move along the agenda.

The Pawns of Satan . . .

know the Word better than we do I think, just like Satan. So they can fool everyone very well. They have done a good job. They kind of follow a script but it is twisted scripture. They actually believe they are doing the work of the Lord, and in a way they are . . .bringing to pass the Master Plan. It is just so exciting to see it play out. Doncha think?

See this now, ya hear. These are some papers I wrote a few years ago.

No one has the ability to

No one has the ability to know what the "Lord" (creator of everything) wants for us. By using our evolved mind we can guess he would want a peaceful earth full of equality so that what he created isn't destroyed by ignorance. Which is what most modern religions such as Christianity are formed off of, together with a story and fearful images (hell) to control the society into following their agenda. All of these have certain truths to bring in the followers, like all of them, but the rest is just propaganda laid out to further push their ideologies.
