My new chicken coop

Now that everyone and their mama has a chicken tractor, I had to come up with something cooler. It takes up a little space, but it's damn cool. I have a few finishing touches to put on it, but I wanted to show it off a bit. Check it out!

Nice, it looks like they'll have a better
place to hide and feel more secure if raccoons come prowling. One heads up, as the chickens grow they may go over your short fence. Years back ours occasionally flew over a 6' fence and we'd have to go searching the neighborhood for them.

The Rhode Island Reds are very good little creatures. They listen to me better than my dogs.
Look at it this way, birds are birds. If some happen to be in your yard and you build a house for them, is that wrong?
Well, chickens are birds. Get some. I went from having 4 chickens to having 15 chickens in a few months.
Oh yeah, I have 15 chickens now. 6 are for July 4th dinner. They're in a seperate pen getting nice and fat.

I happen to mention
wanting some chickens and the neighbor who lives across the street was appalled, she said "chickens stink". I figure if I get just two or three and keep them in the backyard, maybe she would not know about them. There's always somebody who wants to rain on our fun. I think it would be a fun experience even if I did it for a little while. Take my mind off all the bad things happening. I love the chicken thread and your newest coop.
I think the next one should be a hotel coop. LOL Wish I had a big yard.
Our yard is real little.
Back in 1942 when my dad got married and was going to go off to war, he built a chicken coop for my mom and her mother to keep chickens. Those chickens were a life saver my mom told me. Mom lived in the city so if they did it I hope I can too.
