What is the official "CONSERVATIVE" position on whether the powers of Congress are limited by the Constitution?

I know that political labels are unreliable---so answer this in whatever way the mood strikes you---speaking for yourself, or speaking for somebody else.
Do "conservatives" think it's OK for Congress to exceed the enumerated powers in the Constitution? If so, when? If not, what do they do about it when it happens?
(Please don't read anything into this question. I'm not "conservative" bashing, but merely conducting some analysis on popular opinion on such matters.)

Here's what
Hannity thinks is conservatism http://www.hannity.com//Article.asp?id=1193278
He keeps saying if the Republicans will just follow their conservative roots they can gain control again. I don't want them to gain control again because they don't even know what the Constitution says. I'm not sure about Limbaugh, every once in awhile he will say something about the Constitution and freedom, but who knows what he thinks a conservative is. It's funny, they claim they are no longer Republicans, which is really quite funny because they both bash third parties all the time.
Thanks, MRL!
I just wrote a post about this silly "conservative roots" business. There never was any such thing.

I take it very personally when any of them, Dems or Repubs,
exceed the powers limited to them by our Constitution!
I do not consider myself 'conservative' because I believe it has been 'hijacked' by collectivists. I consider myself a 'Constitutional Libertarian Republican'!
And now that that smarmy Lindsay Graham has so viciously come out and attacked Dr.Paul and all of us 'Liberty defenders', I will use this term to define my position amongst all other Republicans that I work with in the grassroots even more so!
I will wear it as a badge of honor. If I get complaints, it will be the perfect opportunity to set the record straight just where do 'they' draw the line then? I certainly know where I draw the line!

Does anybody know if Limbaugh or Hannity....
....have made clear statements on this question? They both claim to be spokespersons for "conservatism", don't they?

phony conservatives that
phony conservatives that fill the ranks of the GOP, often think that Congress is within the Constitution if it's something they support, and usually claim it's un-Constitutional if the Dems support it.
very few, if any (fake)Conservatives (or RINOs) will admit that their choices are un-constitutional.
So are you saying, dfwrider, that....
"true conservatives" refuse to violate the Constitution in any case whatsoever?
(I'm not challenging you-----simply trying to understand how you see it. Oh, also, the reason I put "true conservatives" in quotes is not because this is your term, but because I generally do not use the term "conservative" since I can't figure out exactly what it's supposed to mean.)
