NEED HELP PLEASE - City Installing Traffic Cams

My city wants to install red light cameras in our area which would basically cover the entire state road that runs through it.They're proposing ten cameras.They are boasting about how it won't cost the taxpayers a dime because the company American Traffic Solutions will be taking 47.50 out of every 125.00 fine for running the red light.In exchange for said monies the company will maintain and install the cameras.
I am gearing up for the fight against this and need help with who to contact or where to go to get some information on how to fight this.I thought I saw a post where the person won against the cameras but can't seem to find it.If anybody has any info please help.

I'm afraid this is going to become more and more common
as greedy City Council's that don't care about anything but money see how much they can get from these despicable cameras.

I have somewhere to start now.
Will keep you guys updated I plan on calling the mayor as well as the police chief tomorrow as they have both been vocal about how studies show accident and offenses after camera installation drop on average... get this, 73%.I think that's laughable, and the study is provided by the camera company.Again thanks for the info.
The article came out today front page titled "Smile Margate drivers,you're on traffic camera" in our little local paper so hopefully I won't be the only one calling.

A superb answer to those pesky traffic cameras LOL..the lens is very doable from 50-75 yds. The case is doable at 100 yds. Extremely accurate.

Red light cameras
Your natural right enumerated in the Sixth Amendment of the Bill of Rights allows you to confront the witnesses against you. Who's going to testify against you, the camera?
These red light cameras are a revenue scam and actually cause more accidents than they prevent. People are more likely to stop short when the light turns yellow and then they are rear-ended by the car behind them. And who's to say the yellows aren't already shortened by the company who makes money off of this scam.
As for how to defend yourself against this, maybe someone on the DP has a reference for you. The government certainly doesn't care about your rights.

The site contains news and links to government studies showing traffic cams increase rate of collisions with injury. Not surprisingly, many local and state governments don't want these studies seeing the light of day.
Revenue, not safety, is the goal of these fascists. Trampling your liberties is simply a bonus for them.
