Dear David,

Thank you for contacting me in support of increasing transparency within the Federal Reserve. It is good to hear from you.

On February 26, 2009, Representative Ron Paul introduced H.R. 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009. This legislation eliminates all restrictions on the ability of the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct audits of the Federal Reserve. Additionally, this bill calls for a complete GAO audit of the Federal Reserve by the end of 2010. The aim of this legislation is to achieve greater transparency of the Federal Reserve. You will be pleased to know that I am a co-sponsor of this important piece of legislation.

H.R. 1207 has been referred to the House Committee on Financial Services where I serve as Member. During consideration of the annual Financial Services Committee's Budget Views and Estimates, this important issue was voiced. Chairman Barney Frank also indicated his intention to have the committee further address this issue. Please rest assured that I will support H.R. 1207 if it comes up as a stand-alone bill in its current form in committee and on the House floor.

Thank you again for contacting me about this issue. Your input is important to my work here in Washington.

Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐

Who is your rep?

Sorry, but his letter is the same bull crap being sent out by all those who are refusing to co sponsor this bill.

The promise he made to support it isn't worth the paper it's written on.

However, adding his name as co sponsor backs up that promise.

Why in the world wouldn't any of these congress creatures not want to co sponsor HR1207...that is if they really are for transparency in government?.

Good.

Glad you're active. =D
