Hi all,

I am attempting to create a timeline of freedom. However this is taking too much time away from other activities.

What I need is a comprehensive list of major historical events that have had an impact on our freedoms.
This includes:

  • Changes in our rights over time, and authors who have contributed to this.
  • A brief summary of why the freedoms were fought for each event would also be great.
  • Rights of citizens to vote, first propertied, then men, then slaves and finally women.
  • natural rights (life liberty and property)
  • justice rights (rights to a fair trial, jury etc)
  • I also want to include those rights which are not natural rights, such as a right to education and social security, to show where we went wrong.
  • Revolutions


If you know of one published already that is satisfactory or even a book that has the history of freedom including the criteria above, I will pay the equivalent of 100 pounds. (I have a US account and can pay in US dollars)

If you have to build/research it yourself then I will pay the equivalent of 250 pounds.

What you may come up with might not be exactly what I am looking for, so before submitting it make sure I will value it as above unless you trust me to be fair. The above represents my total budget so it might be that two people can provide what I need, the amount will be divided between them. I will be the sole judge of who should recieve the funds in the case of any dispute.

If you know of any major event that is missing from my timeline and just want to provide it for free, feel free to let me know and I will update it on this post so people can view for themselves and know what I am missing.

I want to show over time where we have come from, why we have the rights we have and where we started going backwards. I have a graphic designer and hope to make an illustration of the timelime which I am happy to share with the dailypaul.
