Over the last few weeks, there were a dozen or more new clips every day. Over the last few days, there are none. Has something changed about YouTube's search, am I missing something, or are all the RP fans quiet lately?
This would convert so many old voters if it were on TV. Great job! Just one question. Who is Mr. Smith? What is his full name? I need to read up on this man.
We need the high quality original source for this. End it with something like, "Paid for by the Ron Paul Revolution", or "independent supporters" or whatever. If we can get this, go to www.spotrunner.com, They make it pretty easy to run ads. You can get slightly cheaper deals if you have connections in local cable advertising. For instance I can get more bang for my buck here in Florida, but spotrunner is easy and pretty cheap and we can all do it through our local meetup groups!

I have the hi-qual vids on my laptop, but the problem is I have ZERO copyright permissions. I'm not sure how much we'd get away with under Fair Use, either. Call the lawyers... *sigh* I'm willing to hand them over to the campaign or whoever wants to use them, but I just worry about that person being sued by Epic Records (for the music) or for the movie stills (by whoever owns those).

Hello Michael, this would make a great 60 second ad as a prelude to longer ads in the future. It would be particularly effective with those over 50 who actually know who Mr. Smith is. (Of course the younger generations, who might not have seen the movie, would go find out who he is pretty quickly.) I think that there are a very large number of disenfranchised non-voters (like me) who fit into this category and would respond to this very favorably.
There was one part where the letters were blue and even on pause I couldn’t read it. But a simple text color change to white or yellow would solve that. Just add the campaign HQ phone number, email address and physical address (for those less “connectedâ€) and you’ve got a great ad.

Let me expand on why I think this is such a great idea. I don’t think there is any question that Jimmy Stewart is one of our most beloved actors of all time. Making the connection between him and Ron Paul would create name recognition for Dr. Paul. Many people who are not yet aware of who Dr. Paul is would immediately recognize those qualities that we all love.

I can fix this by making the text shades slightly different (and the font bigger, of course), but I want to keep the red-white-blue color scheme for that sequence for its latent psychological value.
And I know for fact Dr Paul's Congressional re-election campaign has a 1-800-RON-PAUL phone number. But knowing how small he keeps his staff, I don't know if I'd want to do that to them, potentially swamping them with the calls... :p
This is the most moving, concise, potential ad I have viewed to date. Awesome!
And, I have to agree about the blue text as being unreadable. I don't argue with the latent red-white-blue psychological value, but I believe readability should trump even that.

The computer "prints" I have are remarkably clear... It's just that they look like poo once I post them on YouTube... Go back to the YouTube page where this video is, and then click on my other videos and look at the final cut... I made the text larger and tweaked the timing a little more on the fade so the text is easier to read.

I would do the comparison to Mr. Smith, then go into the 'so when a man like this...' part, but not focus on the media and attacking them, but say something like, 'we just can't ignore him'..or something like that...
Then 'send Ron Paul to Washington' Your freedom depends on it or something like that.
YouTube Vid famine
Great one.
Hey, I've been searching daily for new RP clips on YouTube, using their search engine and inserting "Ron Paul":

Small thing, but the word MEDIA is plural. Should be MEDIA KNOW, not MEDIA KNOWS. That's the English major coming out I guess.

Fairuse...
The movie stills are probably not an issue, but the song would be. But I am going to look into doing something like this in a way that is 100% legal.

Know any young, aspiring garage bands that might cover the music? Would that work?

It's YouTube's fault...
The computer "prints" I have are remarkably clear... It's just that they look like poo once I post them on YouTube... The only changes I would make...

I agree!
This could be the basis of a GREAT TV AD!
