Lindsey Graham has been annoying me more than usual lately. It would be good if Rand Paul were in the senate so I'd get something else to watch besides Lindsey tantrums.

We need to set a date send out the information to all the groups across the country to donate. We already have raised over 17k, but we do need to raise tens of thousands more for the US Senate in for Doctor Rand Paul in 2010.

about shenanigans. Imagine this scenario. Bunning stays in till the last minute. He is quiet about the drop out. The Kentucky GOP has planned the primary ahead of time so the insiders know where to vote. By the time the info gets to Rand, it will be difficult to mobilize people, as only the very hardcore will turn out.
Any way to avoid something like this?

Because that's Exactly what they're going to do. And Rand knows this.
Every 2 years a few Congressmen want out of Usurping (retire).
So, They handpick their successor; publicly state they're "IN" and drop out at the last SECOND leaving no opposition to their respective party.
[In other words = Block a Democrat from having time to campaign against an incumbent 30+ years Republican. Yet the voters only see that the "Career Congressman" is not on the Ballot, however this new Republican is.
So that leaves them only 1 Party/1 Person to vote for. i.e. the "New Guy (R)". Classic Bait and Switch]
So...The only choice is to bring the fight BEFORE they can use this Trick.
The Primary: The Ruling Party "Bends The Rules"
They can only "Break The Law" in a General Election.
We all know by now that Party Rules are meant to "Shape" the General Election. And by "Shape" I mean "Bend" Roberts Rules of Order in Conventions; Plant Questions in Town Halls and stuff Straw Polls.
[Specifically... Holding up signs with "Yes/No" on votes, Cutting off Microphones, Having people escorted out (for no apparent reason), "Tallying" the votes in a back room for 3 hours, Turning off the lights and YES, even Changing The DATE/TIME/PLACE of said meetings! ]

I think Rand is concerned
I think Rand is concerned about the same thing, which is why he is starting now.
You'll have to contact the CFL directly about your concerns, as I have no official involvement with them. But then again, I don't think they're involved in Rand's campaign - I haven't seen any word on their site about it.
IC4L is not a PAC
and they cannot endorse a candidate, I think, so they cannot come directly involved, I think? But Ron Paul's Liberty PAC can get involved. Of course C4L constitute the organization of Ron Paul supporters, so it is a way to get involvement indirectly or non-officially. LRC and blog posts can get involved. I think Rand Paul should get on a few local radio shows, blogtalkradio and local TV for exposure. Remember last year with his appearances on local KY TV, the Club for Growth and other representatives also appeared, so he can hopefully get their endorsement some time, same for NRA, GOA and Grover Norquist's "Americans for tax Reform". Rand Paul's KY Taxpayer's organization may be affiliated with ATR? Yes, i think Rand Paul is also strategically very smart like his father.

I saw a "truckin" video from knob creek Rand Paul weekend outing on the C4L. Their forums posters are allowed to post stuff. It doesn't get on the main page but people were linking to it.
Internship/Campaign Position
Does anyone know how someone could go about attaining a position in the Rand Paul Senatorial Campaign?
I was born and raised in Kentucky and will be back home for the next three months. I also need a job while I'm there and would love to bring Liberty back to the Bluegrass.
I've already sent the exploratory committee an email but haven't heard back from them. Does anyone else have a connection (i.e. phone number/email) through which I could contact Dr. Paul's committee?

I've tossed a few bucks in the hat. I know my state will never elect a senator who believes in obeying the constitution, so I hope that the great state of Kentucky will send a man to the senate who can cancel out either of the useless dregs from California.
