Dennis Kucinich Phone Bomb 5/21/09

0 votes

In regards to the post I made earlier about Dennis' new bill he is introducing to Congress, I strongly encourage you to all stand up and TELL him how you feel! I will be calling Congressman Kucinich's DC office tomorrow morning, Thursday 5/21/09, asking for his support of HR 1207, and I encourage all of you to do the same! We need to have a phone bomb to his DC office, demanding he support HR 1207, instead of introducing new legislation. Please join me, call Kucinich's DC office tomorrow, demanding support for HR 1207!

WHY we MUST be cautious of Kucinich's H.R.2424.

OPEN CALL to ALL RP Freedomists: The Case for Natural Money.

I'd like to forward an excellent article,
http://mises.org/story/3340

and an accompanying audio clip,
http://mises.org/MultiMedia/mp3/audioarticles/3340_Smith.mp3

further delving into WHY we must understand the concept of "Natural Money."

After discovering that article at Mises.org, in February of this year, I like to play it again, from time to time, to remind myself, WHY getting rid of the FED is truly important:

Beyond the "Creature from Jekyll Island" secret meeting saga, beyond the fact that it's private, or that the Warfare & Welfare State cannot exist without it, and how both socialists and fascist/corporatists benefit from it, or that it is the tool of neo-serfdom, techno-panopticon prison grid of the NWO, the real reason why understanding the concept of Natural Money is important is precisely because it can, and will lead to solutions, AGAINST the Fed.Res. fiat, fractional banking system.

It helps us understand the foundations, of the intellectual bedrock that is even more fundamental: what is "money?"

Is it just a medium to facilitate an exchange of goods and/or services? How did some media come to be accepted over time to be considered "money?" In some islands in Micronesia, gigantic stone disks with holes in the middle were used as money. Centuries ago, in England, tree branches with notches/teeth were split into two halves: one were kept in the King's or a "lord's" treasury, while the other half were further split into sections to be denominated for monetary purposes, as so well illustrated in the 3hr tour de force documentary, The Money Masters.

Sure, gold and silver are money, but the article and audio help us understand the historical and human behavioral context, in which, it evolved to be accepted by the market.

Humans accepted certain media such as gold and silver to be "money," because of its perceived, and factual, lack of loss in value. The People determined it. Kings and Parliaments used it as such, long AFTER gold and silver have ALREADY demonstrated that the People would accept it, as a means of exchange.

Simply put, WE the PEOPLE, DECIDE WHAT IS, and WHAT IS NOT MONEY, NOT the guv 'ment.

This also helps us understand the fallacy of the American Monetary Institute's (Monetary.org) director Stephen A. Zarlenga's contention that money can ONLY be dictated as a governmental edict. Zarlenga and Am.Monetary Inst. is also pertinent to our discussion because his organization is responsible for Dennis Kucinich's competing bill H.R.2424.

Monetary.org is merely pushing for creating a wrap-around bureaucracy around the Fed.Res., absorb it into the Treasury Dept., and pretty much take over ALL its functions, except for printing notes with interest tacked on, against the American taxpayer. Other than that, it will still be used to central plan interest rates, and dictate the market. Not to mention the liberal thinktank has NO wish to rid its sister institution, the IRS, as most of us here do.

Definitely worth a read, and a listen, if not, multiple times. If anything, it'll help us all hone our arguments, against the Keynesians and proponents of FDR-era anti-True Free Market policies, not to mention those who dislike to talk about money and finance in general, like your family and friends.

-Enjoy!

Kucinich is a raging socialist

and I am almost talking communist. He wants to reclaim the commons and completely reverse any attempts to privatize. Check out comrade Kucinich's speech here: http://www.monetary.org/ scroll down.

left message...

Nice & friendly guy in D.C. who answered the phone.

I told him that if the Congressman doesn't sign on to 1207, then he should give a clear legitimate reason why because a lot of people are interested.

I think when politicians start seeing the tide turning, as it is, they will be forced to confront the Federal Reserve problem or be voted out.

FYI, here's a video of Elizabeth Kucinich slamming the Fed-
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5850339114412388637...

Make an appointment and visit him in person

I think, in addition to the phone bomb, Ohioans need to step up and pay him a visit. He's your Congressman and accountable to you.

Ask him what his bill accomplishes that HR1207 doesn't. And if there's anything of substance, ask if he can work with Dr Paul on HR1207 rather than introducing another bill. Also, introducing HR2424 does not preclude him from co-sponsoring HR1207.

We've all seen these visits on YouTube with very positive outcomes. If anyone does go, please bring a camcorder and post the video.

Read Kucinich's bill

It allows for audit of the new credit lending facilities related to the bailouts, not monetary policies. That's the difference between the two bills. Some Dems don't want 1207 to go through because it restrains spending.

Please enlighten us, exactly where does it actually use

the word audit?

HR 2424 implies it's about doing an audit...it dances around the issue, but it says absolutely nothing about doing an audit.

But says a whole lot about a review.

In case you don't know the difference between a review and an audit...read the following.

Audit vs. Review
There are significant differences between the objectives of an audit of financial statements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and the objectives of a review in accordance with statements on standards for accounting and review services. The objective of an audit is to provide a reasonable basis for expressing an opinion regarding the financial statements taken as a whole. A review does not provide a basis for the expression of such an opinion because a review does not contemplate obtaining an understanding of the internal control structure or assess control risk, tests of accounting records and of responses to inquiries by obtaining corroborating evidential matter through inspection, observation or confirmation, and certain other procedures ordinarily performed during an audit. A review may bring to the accountant’s attention significant matters affecting the financial statements, but it does not provide assurance that the accountant will become aware of all significant matters that would be disclosed in an audit.

Read the dang bill, and you

Read the dang bill, and you will see that it says audit, under the review section. I don't know why you keep nagging people about this? Are you just trying to start trouble???

michael, liberty_mike requests this for the blog, please!

Never mind, I understand

Never mind, I understand now. I just got your email...

I called him from europe

Only the DC office answered.
They wouldn't tell me where he is or when I can reach him but I left him a message and made sure the guy wrote it down.

I told him to write down that I am not even a US citizen but I feel the events in washington affect us overseas and that I feel responsible to call and make sure that Kucinich signs 1207.
I told him that although I've seen good things about kucinich on youtube and on paper (in an act where he exposed chemtrails etc) I and many others are wondering whether he isn't trying to pass a weaker 1207 with his 2424. I told him to tell Kucinich that he needs to jump on board with Ron Paul.

HELLS YEAH!!!!

HELLS YEAH!!!!

i just called and had a nice little chat.

Yeah, Im going to call his

Yeah, Im going to call his Lakewood office too when I get off work. Thanks for all the progress being made on this issue today everyone! Keep on calling!!!

Called

I had called a few weeks back to pump HR1207. This time I called to ask why HR2424 was necessary. They're not answering questions. It was all very pleasant. I said I believed Dennis had lost a great deal of his national supporters over this issue and it would be helpful if he issued some sort of press release explaining how his bill was different and why it's better/necessary. They said "Ok, thank you."

I called. His Office very attentive and alert to the issue

I simply said that I knew Rep. Kucinich is interested in the topic because he has submitted legislation regarding it. I acknowledged that I am not in his district, yet I am urging him to co-sponsor HR1207. His office was very pleasant and it was a pleasure talking with them

I called

Saw the "Phone bomb" mention last night, then during my lunch I checked out the daily paul forums and saw this new thread. I totally just called the office and told his aid that Denis should support 1207. I think Denis is really going to have to make some kind of announcement to explain his intention. I HOPE that he introduced his own bill in order to further legitimize the "Audit the Fed" movement. The congress very much suffers from groupthink, so the more they think this issue is demanded by the people, the more likely they are to vote for it.

Remember, this is just the FIRST STEP towards eliminating the Fed! A lot of mainstreamers are going to be shocked when they see the audit results. We might even get the report in time for the election season! That would make the Fed a hot topic during the campaign.

I gave Denis my zip because I wanted him to know that Texans where taking offense for not co-sponsoring the bill written by the Gentleman from Texas.

Awesome!

Thanks! His assistant seemed kind of timid when I talked to him this morning...

Let's ask him what's really behind this

move? I am almost certain he's doing this to cause a havoc.

Thats the

biggest question right now... All I can say is the more people that call demanding his support of HR 1207, the better chances we have of getting him on board.

Dennis Kucinich is not one

Dennis Kucinich is not one of my favorite politicians. I remember him and his track record when he was Mayor of Cleveland. He is unpredictable and too much of a wild card. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Kucinich.

Dennis is all for Dennis. I am surprised that his constituents have not figured that out.

why not call all his offices?

~
Three calls would be more effective than one. ;-)

If your sorry @ss of a congressmen.

dosnt co-sponcor this bill TELL him your going to co-sponcor his sorry butt out of WASHINGTON!!!!!! Yee Hww Lets keep unm on the RUn !!!!!!

Ok, I hope you joined and

Ok, I hope you joined and contacted Kucinich, and your congressman!

Here is the Dems plan

I know why he isn't co-sponsoring. The Dems want it to be their bill. They don't want to give the Republicans any credit. One congressman said that he wouldn't support 1207 because it was a Republican bill.

If Dennis' bill passes, then the dems can take credit!

That's the most sorry lame excuse I have ever heard!

SERIOUSLY IF THEY DON'T PUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FIRST not (Democrats or Republicans)- VOTE THEM OUT!!

Jeremy

I called

and I was pleadingly nice.
I used to be a fan of Kucinich's...I even sent him money after he said that he supported Ron Paul while he was trying to push impeachment. He started to lose me with the "National Watermelon Day" thang and it's been a downward spiral ever since. If he doesn't co-sponsor 1207, it will be the final straw for me and I stated that fact in my message.
**the soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears**

**the soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears**

Maybe

Maybe Kucinich is just an attention fairy?

He sees a bill that might pass so he wants his name on it instead.

Remember when Alan Keyes gave a speech saying he was glad that he was able to teach Ron Paul about the Fed and he was glad about all the grass roots attention that came of his teachings?

Rofl

Yah, that would be ... 'cute' if he actually said that.
