I suggested he try another type of "enhanced interrogation" on his stage. I suggested he attach TAZER leads to his chest and let a volunteer (me) see how many times it took "administering" the "enhanced interrogation methods" for him to admit being part of the 9-11 incident. I don't think it would take to many times, and I am sure he would "eventually", "voluntarily", admit to his involvement in the sub-prime meltdown, the Madoff scandal and all the Roswell incidents too.

Who was that Black guy?

Who is that Black guy? I am Happy he stood up to Joe's rant. Joe is the STUPID one.. This laughing of his and Rudy reminds me of the laughing they did against Ron Paul....who was right again and again and again. Who was that black guy and what his email?

That was really....

....a good imitation of Ventura. Man, that guy, whoever he is, was pretty funny! Beyond that, what's that guy's name? "Joe"?

Just proves Ventura's a viable candidate.

Oops, Jesse got a little too rough on Dr. Strangelove with his waterboarding comments. 'We need to nip him in the bud before he builds an even larger following'..

Clearly a shill

I never forget Joe in the Ron Paul fundraising record interview:

Ron Paul broke a fund raising record, raising more money than anyone else in the history of politics in a single day, and Joe Scarborough begins the interview with this:

"A lot of times you'd go on the floor you'd sit alone. People treated you like you had the plague."

Then Scarborough goes on to ask (with a big shit eating grin on his face):

"How are you raising all that money?"

Of course, Ron Paul handled him well, but still, what a piece of shit Scarborough is, to ruin an interview about Ron Paul's historical fund raising success by prefacing it with the thought that other congressmen treat him like he has the plague, and then just going on to ask him how he raised all the money.

Ron Paul's Convention Speech

If Ron Paul sat alone in Congress,

that should not surprise. Avoiding blowhards like Joe Scarborough is a good thing. JS thinks being loud and rude is a substitute for intelligence.
He can't debate Ron Paul on the issues so he resorts to insults.
The kindest thing that can be said about JS is he's superficial, but that appeals to the general public. They like cheap-shot artists because they're unable and/or unwilling to think about what is important.
Mika's father was right about JS.

My email message to Scarborough

I would like to thank you for your disdain for the constitution and the first amendment in particular. I really appreciate your service to the New World Order. It's absolutely liberating when giant corporations and corporate shills like yourself do all of my thinking for me. I hate it when people like Jesse Ventura say things and try to jump start that critical thinking process that has been all but destroyed by the constant indoctrination of government and corporate media outlets. I believe everything you guys tell me and that makes me quite comfortable. I mean really in that first part of the 911 commission report when they say its not important to find out who was responsible for attacks on 9-11-01 that completely makes sense to me. I agree with you completely that all those annoying facts Mr. Ventura pointed out just need to be swept right under the rug where they belong. Out of sight, out of mind as they say. Well I think it’s time for me to lull myself back into complacency and apathy where I rightly belong. I think ill go catch some American Idol highlights because as we all know mindless entertainment and constant distraction is what being a good American is all about.

I like your letter! Right on!

I wonder if he will read it

I wonder if he will read it on the air.

"All men are created equal and endowed buy their creator with

certain unalienable rights......."

Unless they are from another country then they aren't men, or women, they are sub human and weren't created equal they don't have the "rights" that come naturally to us americans, we are a special group of people that are better than the rest of the world, we have supposed natural rights.

The rest of the worlds population are beneath us, they weren't born endowed with the rights for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, they don't have the "right" to have evidence brought to justify why they are held, they don't have the "right" not to be tortured.

We are so much better than them, it is okay for us to do the same things that we find reprehensible when they do it. It is okay for us to engage in the same behaviors that we condemn them for.

It is okay for them to suffer, things that we send people to jail for here if they did it to a kitten or a puppy.

Right??? Could it be that our government is wrong? Maybe lowering ourselves to what the alleged "enemy does is wrong? Can't be our government would never do that would they? Our government calls it enhanced interrogation so it must be okay right? Oh, if I drowned a cat I go to jail? I was just trying to train it to poop outside, I didn't mean to drown it it was an accident. I can't leave my horse in a small stall with no light and not let it sleep, that is cruelty to animals and I could go to jail? I didn't know, I thought that if we could do that to people I could do it to an animal.

Oh, yeah that's right they aren't really people, they are insurgents, terrorist, taliban, al queda, bathist,. . . . . . . tax protesters, libertarians, freedom lovers, christians, jews, atheist, agnostics, bike riders, accountants, etc. etc., sorry yeah, those folks aren't human ether, it's okay to torture them.

We as a society have allowed our government to train folks to think it is okay to do it to other folks, and it won't be long before they are doing it to us, wait you're right, they ALREADY ARE.

Bet that weak soul Scarbourgh

wouldn't say that to Ventura's face..

You know I'm tired of worthless bastards like this holding back the progress of mankind with their blatant distortions to keep people in the dark.

I'm sure many other souls are growing tired of this as well.

Yeah, I knew that about her

Just had a little brain cramp there for a second re her first name and spelling. :) See how impressed I am with her? I can't remember her name for more than 17 seconds...or so!

well this confirms it for me, their interviews act in concert

first Ron Paul and now Jesse Ventura. They're using one interview to build them up and then picking something and using it out of context to make them look like fools. corporate media is hydra headed whore.

You know people like Rudy, and Scarborough...

really piss me off sometimes.

First, the bit where Rudy goes off about people worrying too much about the rights of 'criminals' got my blood boiling-- it really tells you a lot about the man: He's oblivious to the fact that People are worried about the Rights of People. A man is a criminal only after he is convicted of a crime-- and yes at that point the State has the right to imprison them and deny them their full rights-- but thats not the issue being discussed. We're talking about stripping away basic protections for individuals who have yet to be convicted, and using an 'ad hoc' method to identify those individuals who deserve to be singled out for such treatment.

When you rationalize using 'enhanced interrogation' techniques on individuals that have yet to be convicted of anything on the basis that you believe them to be criminals then you abrogate the most fundamental principle of our justice system-- Men are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. I'll put it into language that even Neanderthals such as they can understand: People who do not believe the government should presume innocence until guilt is proven are bad Americans.

The second bit that made me see red was the exchange between Joe and one of his fellow commentators. In the bit the man tried to explain some of the nuances of the 'Don't fucking torture you assholes' position, namely via the 'it's a god damned recruiting tool for extremists' argument. Now the man attempting to engage in a rational calm discussion with Joe explained the position in a much more dignified and far less profane manner than I used to surmise it above, and was met with an irate imbecile who demanded proof that the techniques were ineffective.

Excuse me Joe?! The burden of Proof is not on side of those who assert that using 'enhanced interrogation' is unacceptable-- it is on the side that wishes to prove that such techniques are acceptable. The whole rationale for using the techniques is that they provide useful actionable intelligence-- if you can prove to me that they DO provide actionable intelligence then I'll move on to other arguments.

Men are innocent until

Men are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. People who do not believe the government should presume innocence until guilt is proven are bad Americans.

Nice, concise, and true. Beautifully illustrated. Irregardless of the opposing argument.

As usual

The pundits and the beauracrats are arguing the WRONG point, providing a carefully-engineered distraction from the real issue.

Everyone is embroiled in a debate over whether torture- Oh... I'm soooo sorry- Enhanced Interrogation Techniques, are effective or not.

Does it really matter if they're effective? Would torture be just peachy-keen if it was proven to be 100% effective? How about 92% effective? 63%...

IT'S TORTURE, DAMMIT! Has the needle of our moral compass so fully fallen off that we no longer hold a collective belief that torture is WRONG and IMMORAL? It does not matter if it's effective or to what degree. It's absolutely unacceptable in a free society ruled by law in which all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is a national SHAME that we're even debating the subject.

Everything is deemed 'moral' if the government does it.

A crime is only a crime if you, the citizen, commit it. The same crime, if committed by the State, is deemed 'policy'.

A tip of the hat to my anarchist libertarian friends. When they're right, they're right.
