Obama removing presidential portraits from White House
Submitted by Misfit4Peace on Sun, 05/24/2009 - 12:02President Hussein and Mrs. Hussein are reportedly removing portraits of presidents past from the White House and replacing them with abstract art.
Remember, in Cambodia, when the Khumer Rouge took over, they declared it to be "year one," and removed all references to the past.
Abstract art rather than pictures of Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln? Yes, those oppressors, in Obama's mind, represent the stale US past

"President Hussein and Mrs. Hussein" is a blatant racist remark that has no place on this forum in my opinion. The left will most certainly use this sort of nonsense here to try and make the point that we're just a bunch of racists who can't stand that the president is black.
And there is no evidence whatsoever that he's removing any presidential portraits.
But I AM Racists
But not against a skin color..no not that..Im racists against a type..And Barry..Hussein..wtf ever he wants to call himself these days, is in that type..So are most in government..local..state..federal

Don't make yourself too comforatable, Barak!!!
Oh well, even if this is the case, lets hope the bastard doesn't get too comfortable in the white house. The one term president will only be there for another few years, so when he leaves, lets hope someone burns the damn art he puts up, and puts Jefferson back up!

WE ARE GOING TO WIN!
Like I said earlier, Obama's logo of the 'setting sun' was not
just a cute logo, it is a neurolinguistic 'command' to our unconscious that America as we knew it is 'going down'. Now that's change we can believe in.

After our country collapses
After our country collapses financially and states peacefully secede, I hope that all the federal government buildings in Washington D.C. become museums. It'll be a great way to remind us of the dangers of a powerful centralized government.
I don't like the idea of having our president living inside a big white fancy palace. I also don't like how our Representatives work in a massive and luxurious white building w/ 5 star amenities.
Politics shouldn't be glamorous in any way. If the life of our corrupt politicians weren't so luxurious, they probably wouldn't run for office.
All politicians including the president should live in their original homes. I see no reason to give a politician or president a luxurious lifestyle made for a king.
Also, considering how we no longer live in the horse-and-buggy age, I see no reason why we need a centralized area in our country for a federal government to meet. Our representatives in congress could talk with each other by phone, email, or video conferencing.
Hopefully when we rebuild our country after the collapse, our congress won't feel the need to constantly meet and pass new laws. Maybe, we'll amend our constitution to limit the amount of laws that could be on our books at any given time. The less they do, the better off we'll be.
I feel the same way,
I feel the same way, Congressmen could just as easily have an office in their home towns or in their State capitals. Then they can be watched closely by the people who voted for them. Also save on airfare, and their salaries would stimulate the State economy instead of Washington D.C.

Is there an actual news source on this?
I can't find a link that talks about it. Anyone help?

As far as I am concerned
As far as I am concerned they should auction them off and save the taxpaper money from having to maintain them in the first place.

That would be great
if they weren't using taxpayer's money to buy the new stuff...which will also have to be "maintained"...
