What is the way forward for the humanity as a whole?
I mean really?
I am beginning to doubt my own faith on the idea of a government giving us Liberty, Freedom and Truly Free Markets backed by Sound Money.
The more I look back over history; it repeatedly demonstrates an ongoing idea that there must be a battle between individuals and their governors (Government).
It also makes it clear that countries and empires always fail and endure difficult times when greedy government gets bigger; it’s a predictable cycle that always ends up going back to the very ideals that started the problem; small government. It seems to me that ANY government is a “gateway drug” to tyranny. Perhaps we just don’t know when to stop rebuilding……
In more recent times, especially after watching and researching the ideas put forward in Zeitgeist Addendum, I feel that there is quite simply NO place for government any more. We as a race have outgrown this outdated concept. Check out their bi-weekly radio broadcasts for excellent debate and ideas.
In fact a couple of things really made me sit up and think:
The Ron Paul Revolution itself: I firmly believe that “de-centralisation” of control helped enormously in getting Ron’s message out. If the C4L existed right from the beginning I feel it would have been an easy target to muddy the message. It had to come from the people. Organisation and order is great, but individual co-operation is far better.
The Pirate Bay court case: The whole success of the file sharing (knowledge and experience sharing) was and still is down to its decentralisation – much like the current model of the internet itself.
The original Napster and older P2P systems failed because they were centralised and an easy target to bring down and back into line.
The way I am starting to see things is that it doesn’t matter how good Ron’s morals or messages are; even if there is a sudden awakening of the masses and Ron were President in 2012 – we ALL remain part of a very limiting and restricting system.
Back on the “gateway drug” of small government.
I imagine most people in the world (just the regular folks, forget the small minority in government, terrorists or radicals) would agree with the idea of a “one world order” if it was all about helping each other and improving things. If enough people believed it were even remotely possible and co-operated, there could finally be a worldwide change, where the people of the entire world stand up against ALL governments for a better future.
It has to be this way; you can’t have government tell the people that THEY will bring change, because you know it’s a lie.
I feel this is generally the efforts of Zeitgeist Movement / Venus Project and I notice these things about their ethics/morals/methods:
1) They try to engage the entire population, translating all of the material to as many different languages as possible. They encourage co-operation without prejudice.
2) Their debates are always peaceful, intelligent, consistent and insightful.
3) Their ideals represent REAL CHANGE, for EVERYONE for evermore.
4) It’s seems completely practical, achievable and logical, certainly from a tech point of view - if only people were able to let go of their old notions.
I don’t feel any “bad vibes” at all from the ZM message (then again I am not religious) and I recently started considering its viewpoint and methods again.
I must say I find them more appealing than when I first discovered their ideas.

This has been done before.
This whole concept is essentially the same thing as the concept behind the Communist revolutions of the early 20th century.
In fact, it fairly reeks of it, and even uses the Hegelian term "Zeitgeist".
In a nutshell, they paint a pretty picture of what the "end result" should "look like". And it's always a very pretty one.
Then, they get the people to overthrow what they've already got, so that they can proceed toward the utopia.
Of course, a "transition" is needed, which requires an interim "government" to "oversee" the transition.
The new "government" takes power(and I mean power), and never transitions. It just takes over.
That's exactly the way these Communist revolutions are sold to the people. They never tell them that they are going to be enslaved in a communist dictatorship. No, that would not be acceptable. So, they make up some idea of a utopia, sell it to the people, and then impose the tyranny after the people overthrow their present gov't.
It's all so transparent.
Why people continue to fall for this, I cannot explain.

It's apparent you neither understand history nor zeitgeist. Russia was the victim of two revolutions. The first was less bloody and was based on communism, the second, and generated by Lenin then perpetuated by Stalin, was paid for wealthy, western industrialists and was really a puppet dictatorship. That society was always a puppet of money as much as the crony capitalist system is today.
Zeitgeist gets around all this corruption by denying money or anything as a form of exchange. If you can't see how this world will work then flex your imagination. It won't work all at once, but it will be done in spurts of ingenuity and most of the systems are currently here to provide most everything everyone needs autonomously. You retroactive paranoids remind me of the same people who criticize Ron Paul for wanting to cut the welfare department, when his first step is to reduce military spending. I mean can any of you actually think through this problem?

some people here are onboard, others are vehemently opposed... what would RP say? he may be offended by the anti-religious aspect of Z1 but the bottom line is that the idea of liberty should not divide us (we should in fact join with other freedom movements), and zeitgeist (the spirit of the times) is liberty for all and freedom for all (not just americans), using technology to replace slave labor, applying technology to social problems... we need to apply something, applying government never gets us anything but enslaved by those who take control of it (over and over and over, happens every time without fail), we don't need another revolution (and we can't go back to 1800 as nice as that would be) we need evolution and Jaques Fresno has a better vision of this than anyone else I've heard (heard lots of criticism but no one has put forth a better plan)... does that mean I think we should give up here and go join TVP/zeitgeist movement? no, restoring liberty and rule of law here is an important stepping stone (america needs to be the beacon of liberty again) but we need to rethink the idea of some of these institutions, they are working against us...

I enjoy doing what I do. I do it for me and I use my own hands; it's great. Besides, who will build the robots? Who will change the oil? You HAVE to be old enough to have been around at least a little. Do you TRULY believe that robots can do everything we do? And once again, who does the required work on them---under who's command? Zeitgeist is as much the enemy as the illuminati; hell, they're one in the same.

I don't feel like I'm forced into slave labor but I'm lucky, I can survive under their radar, most can't (one shouldn't have to live under the radar in the land of the free), as for machines vs human labor, I think the goal of anyone who manufactures goods is to reduce cost and maximize profit, look at the assembly lines of auto manufacturers as an example, they are constantly looking for ways to replace humans on the assembly line and theres no reason to beleive they would stop until all processes are automated... what happens then? will everyone just work at burger king or some other service job? lets forget about any religious aspect of zeitgeist 1 or visions of the future from 2 and look at what they recommend: get off the grid (I already do that), botcott big banks (I already do that), boycott manstream media (I already do that), don't sign up to fight their wars (no problem there either)... they promote doing all the things I aleady do, call out evil institutions for what they are which I already know... how are they the enemy? I've managed to wake up several obama-bots with Z2 when nothing else would (all the preaching of RP gospel and links to things like the obama deception only created alienation and division), after seeing that they recognize the evil in the fed and obamas nwo agenda (now we're all on the same page)... if zeitgeist could convert a good percentage of disgruntled bama-bots into people who want freedom and liberty how would that be evil? we would kick ass if we had those kind of numbers in our movement...

This is being shown regularly on SKY/FreeSat in the UK.
Both Zeitgeist Movies have been shown on:
Edge Media/Controversial TV on SKYTV, Channel 200.
This channel is also being carried by FreeSat and soon to be on Virgin Media. They have shown a lengthy interview with Peter Joseph; the maker of the first two movies and the main organiser for the activism arm of the Venus Project. Part 3 is due for internet release, October 2010.
People in the UK are being woken up by these movies and others like them. People are discussing Ron Paul, the Fed, topics in ZM and other ideas from movie sites like www.bbc5.tv - I have met lots of people on my travels and been surprised by variety of people and their levels of awareness. What conclusion the masses will finally come to, only time will tell.
Personally, I still am not sure which way is best. 1. Working things back towards the orginal American Constitution and restoring small government and liberty; or 2. trying something completely different, as proposed elsewhere?
Perhaps we would need to have a form of the 1st throughout the entire world, before we can even attempt the 2nd option?
I will always be huge Ron Paul fan, Zeitgeist Movie (the first one) guided me to Ron, this site and his message. And whilst Zeitgeist frightened me with all the scary revelations it had to offer, Ron Paul and his ReLOVEution gave me excitement, hope and comfort that SOMEONE was out there leading by example and sticking to their principles.
Ron got me interested in subjects I though were "boring" and mundane....history, geography, money, politics, liberty, freedom, etc.
I realise now that before I had these interests, the world had seemed extremely confusing and foggy to me. Thinking back I was far too wrapped up in Work, Console Games, Pot and Television to even realise :o(
The world makes a lot more sense now and I spend my time far more sensibly, to the great delight of my family.
Apart from a very small few, the majority do truly have everyone elses best interests at heart.....its simply a lack of knowledge and understanding of certain facts and lies that cause us all to react so differently, holding us back from finally agreeing the best way forwards, uniting in love.

I started out differently in discovering Dr. Paul (via FreeTalkLive weekly radio and podcast show) and have also become interested in the subjects I previously thot as boring or seemingly too complex. I can hardly believe how interested I am in economics, which of course involves politics, which involves history, and of course money (gold/silver). They are fascinating actually, better than fiction. Who knew? lol
The fog has lifted but it isn't a clear day yet.
