I sure hope people can get passed the color thing soon our success will depend on not what color someone is but their beliefs. The lady is a wonderful success story and I admire her for that as well. If only we could change her thinking. We can hope that if she is honest as time goes on she will realize what harm straying from what the Constitution does. DeStefano, involves a group of 18 white firefighters, including one Hispanic. I tend to lean towards favoring the former as that is a system that does not discriminate on arbitrary grounds. Sonia is not qualified in regards to merit. In order for her to be qualified she has to fulfill the job requirements in a manner that is with little flaw. You see her as qualified because she has the credentials to sit at her post. As time progresses you will learn how little credentials can tell you about a person.

A PhD professor at Harvard is assumed to be automatically intelligent by people like you because they have undergone the institutional framework to be 'verified' as intelligent. The status of PhD means nothing to me. Nothing at all. There was a Harvard professor the other week that advocated going to negative interest rates. Yeah thats right. Paying people to borrow money. I don't care if this idea came from a Harvard professor or my 10 year old cousin, stupid is stupid no matter how you package it. The same is true of intelligence. An idea is a good idea based on merit and not by the credentials of the individual proposing it.

Sotomayor is on the board of La Raza, which translates to "The Race." Their slogan is "For the race everything, outside the race nothing."

They consistently teach us that race is important. That is the single most prevalent reason why we have so much racism in this country. If they keep preaching how important race is, people will eventually resent other races. They will believe they got where they are solely because of their race.
I honestly don't know that much about her but I assume she has no intention of holding the constitution above her own personal beliefs, just look at who nominated her. I also believe the fact that she is the first Hispanic ever nominated is about as relevant as the fact that she is the first person named Sonia ever nominated.
