The South Korean markets are taking a hit.
It looks like they are setting the stage for shooting. They don't have to fire the first shot with nukes. We don't have the forces there to stop invasion.
They are going to start moving ships with the hopes they are boarded for searches. They are looking for a reason to start shooting.

Ironic that what the DRPK really wants is re-unification.
They even agreed to "one-country-two-systems". No dice apparently.

More likely ... North Korea needs fuel and food aid...
Kim Jong-il rattles his sabre every now and then and we give it to him -
he's been doing this for as long as he's been in power, just like his daddy did before him - why not use a working formula like that!
A war would not profit NK - sabre rattling does.

I have a feeling
I have a feeling this is more than saber rattling. Something in my gut tells me this is different.
Of course you feel that way....
Otherwise it wouldn't be effective saber rattling. I'm sure people have felt as you do now every time North Korea has done this in the past .....

We wouldn't be giving them aid if people weren't afraid.
How about we move our 28,000 troops out of South Korea, and quit giving the North Koreans reasons to fear too.
