AT&T May Have Swayed ‘Idol’ Results

AT&T, one of the biggest corporate sponsors of “American Idol,” might have influenced the outcome of this year’s competition by providing phones for free text-messaging services and lessons in casting blocks of votes at parties organized by fans of Kris Allen, the Arkansas singer who was the winner of the show last week.

I admit to being an American Idol fan as well as a fan of Adam's...however, the point some of you might be missing is the extent people are willing to go to along the lines of corruption...even when it is just a TV program. Someone else pointed out that it also is a "wake up call" illustrating how electronics can influence/rig votes and that indeed might be of importance. One has to admit Idol enjoys a certain level of popularity (millions viewship apparently) and frankly if it is the source of any enlightenment of the masses, I'm for it.

This is probably more likely to cause a revolution than the bankers stealing trillions. Imagine how easy it will be to control the masses when "movements" are really just tv shows and polls. Oh crap. . .I think we're there already.
