The rich and powerful make the rules of the game rather than the rule of law found in our Constitution. The scary thing is that we the people worship power and money before justice and the rule of law.
American's have indeed have forgotten the notions of sovereignty, liberty, and freedom because there are very little, if any, examples in our "modern" society except of course for the wealthy. That I believe is why we are conditioned in most of our pursuits to obtain wealth so we can have our own freedoms. Free unequivocally fair markets and a defense from injustice should be the only role for government. It is that simple

Is North Korea being a threat or not really the question at hand?

How come everything that the U.S. subsizes in a country, they later want to invade that country?

Subsize North Korea's nuclear program, soon we'll invade.
Subsidize Pakistan's nuclear program and put musarraf into power now let's invade.
Bin Laden a former CIA agent, now let's attack an entire country where he is residing.
Install puppet govts. in Iran, now let's blockade them with an armada of warships.

Anyone else see a trend here?

The leader of North Korea just RIPPED up a treaty and SAID that THEY are at WAR with South Korea... Thus, AT WAR WITH US! I read some reports a few months back of South Korean tanks being moved to the border... I dismissed those reports as BS. But now I will be reconsidering.

If RON thinks this is NO BIG DEAL.... than I have a bridge to sell him. He makes sense most of the time... but this is absurd. North Korea declaring WAR is NO BIG DEAL. WTF?

I'm not runnin around scared of North Korea. But I also do not take lightly a nutjob like China's puppet KimJong ILL declaring war and ripping up treaties. Go ahead.... keep tryin to fight for your SO CALLED rights of the CONstitution.... It will ALL be fruitless until the 14th amendment is repealed. Right now... YOU have NO rights... YOU HAVE... the ILLUSION of rights.... that are actually PRIVILEGES granted by the STATE that can be taken from you at THEIR will.

I understand the FEAR tactics being instilled here... I also understand the DANGER of simply dismissing North Korea's threats.

If we can't even question Ron Paul than what makes US any different than those that DO NOT question Obama?

While I don't agree with Ron Paul that it was Clinton's fault what NK has done with the technology the Clinton Administration shared, with UN approval and Kissinger's aid... I think we need a senator like Ron Paul to explain about the federal governments mission to the UN is concerning this.

May 17th, Kissinger met with Obama and had a talk about nuclear proliferation in Pakistan, Iran and NK. This is a letter to Obama which includes Kissinger, from a National Quaker organization... http://www.fcnl.org/issues/item.php?item_id=2252&issue_id=54

I think this needs to be discussed, because I think it's fine for Ron to calm everyone down after missles are flying off NK, but like 911 and other events, what I fear more than the missles, is my loss of freedom from my government, and this letter, while I believe ending nuclear wars before they start is morally the right thing to do, it appears the way to end them to some, is to begin them. We have already had a like contract with the pre-emptive strikes on Iraq from the UN and coalation of the willing on UN Resolution 1551.
