that Rand asks for is really a small amount. For a senate race it is usually eventually at least 6-10 million. If Bunning does stay in till the end, maybe Rand Paul can use the campaign money to run for congress to either knock a big govt. Republican off in a primary race or beat and incumbent Democrat in KY. No money will be wasted, I am dead sure.
I hope Peter Schiff can write a letter to his clients and ask to contribute to Rand, along with others. What the max amount, 2300 USD per person?
Hopefullly there are quite a few that can contribute the max in a money bomb as well.
To those who ask why Rand Paul needs i million, if they can in any case get updates on youtube from him for free, well you have to realize that many people do not have internet or do not use it for this and must first hear about Rand Paul via other means before they may check him out online and non-internet marketing cost much more.
the money, I think more people of use would jump in and contribute. But if you DECENTRALIZE your money raising campaign, EVEN MORE money would come in.
Here is what I mean by DECENTRALIZE:
1) - Donate to Pay Pal Account # 23491845 --- These funds Hires ELiberty to do 5 mini commercials for Rand Paul. (Recall ELiberty & 10 others won my Treg - Ron Paul You Tube Contest with his "New Hope" video? Don't tell me you never saw that video! It rocked the vote!)
2) -- Donate to Pay Pal Account # 23491846 --- These funds buys us TV advertising time for Rand Paul. Watch the weeks grow as the money comes in. The more money the more times Dr Rand Paul gets on TV.
3) --- Donate to Pay Pal Account # 23491847 --- These funds pays for Newspaper Sunday Advertising in the city newspapers in the State.
4) --- Donate to Pay Pal Account # 23491848 --- These funds pays for ....
You get the idea. Dr Paul, I do not know about you, but since 1980 I have complained and complained that our candidates FAIL to buy enough TV time. TV time conveys legitimacy. I have been furious at the National Libertarian Party for not spending every penny they get on TV time.... So, if I am not the only one who feels this way, you should get lots of money for TV advertising. Indeed, me and many Daily Paul'ers bitched and complained about your dad not being on TV enough in Iowa, New Hampshire & South Carolina. Many of us where shocked that he did not go ALL OUT and spend ALL the money he had. In my opinion, he failed us in that way. In my opinion, we failed him by not getting him the money soon enough. So lets both learn from it.
You may not agree with letting go of the control of your campaign, but you should. You really SHOULD let go of the control and allow us in the Grassroots direct the fund raising and marketing of your campaign. That gives us a strong idea of how we want our dollars spent. If you structure the decentralization properly and sufficiently, it will drive itself. If you are hesitant, read this book on the WISDOM OF CROWDS....and maybe then you will know why I think this just may work for you...indeed, you may get more money than your father did....as we find we have a real say and real control over your campaign. All that you will have to do is, "Show up". We will do the rest.
In peace & liberty,
Treg
PS... In the same way, IMAGINE if we could direct the spending of our own taxes in Washington? That we could say, this 5% goes for...this 12% goes for...this 34% goes for....Now that is a democracy and that would end special interests over night! If something doesn't get funded, "Oh well" there goes something we did not need. That should really shrink the scope of what government does, which is the first step to shrinking government.
Blog here, respond to a couple dozen responses.... then really, should he rightly and fairly expect much money from us at the "daily Paul"?...if he can't blog here, perhaps he is just taking us for granted?

I second that. I already donated but will donate more if I know "what and how" the money will be spent. I need to gain trust and confidence in the way how the money will translate into votes.

I'm definitely going to send Dr. Rand Paul some money for his campaign. Come on people he needs our support. He is a young Dr. Paul, who grew up with, obviously, the best mentor possible. If anybody has a chance of following in Ron Paul's footsteps and carrying on his legacy it is Dr. Paul's son Rand.
We should all donate to his campaign, every one of us DP'ers. He needs the support of the Revolution!
$25,000 is not bad for starters, but in my opinion this good man deserves a more proper showing of backing.
He's stayed out of politics his whole life right? This is a big decision for him to choose to give up the type of life he had to dedicate it to our ongoing campaign for Liberty and justice in this country.
He needs to know that we have his back, that his efforts and and dedication are appreciated and will be in the future.
Go Rand!

I believe for those activists who do not have candidates to support in their area at this time could host, aide in planning, or attend a fundraiser in your city. Yes, I absolutely agree we need to help Dr. Rand Paul on June 1st. I hope we can raise several thousand dollars for his campaign in one day. Then, we will need to help Mr. Harris & Kokesh in the near future.

Well, I guess he called that one.

Ron Paul's Presidential Campiagn
had lot's of money, but very little compotent people running the show.
NH was all volunteer & not one really experienced professional politcal operator.
It's not just a matter of $$, it's organization, strategy & some quality, intelligent folks.
Rand's goal should be to win IN Kentucky, not to make National headlines/noise.
Sorry, but the I need a millions dollars to show I'm serious & the Bunning, may or may not run line, seems lame & wishy-washy to me.
Run or Don't. Period.
