On memorial day 4409 and the rest of The Phoenix Revolution took a road trip to honor the people that have supposebly died so we would NOT have to go throught checkpoints.
We confront the checkpoint nazi's who beat and tazed Pastor Steve Anderson.
Do something and pass this video along to others..This is part 1 of 4.
NEWSFLASH the border is 60 miles south and we were on a highway that runs east-west?
Why don't they do their job at the actual border instead of unconstitutionaly harrasing, assaulting and tazing thousands of Americans on a daily basis.

Send people through in hordes who refuse to answer questions and actually know their rights. We can get the BP trained right.

In all fairness to the border agents, the 4409 guys did seem a little more interested in starting a direct confrontation with them, rather than getting their message to the passing motorists.
There was a simple solution that wouldn't have required all of them to walk through the checkpoint area. Have most of the people park in the designated parking area - load up a car with people - drive to the desired protest area - drop off everyone but the driver - driver parks the car or takes another load of people down. No need to walk through the checkpoint 'zone'. Now when the cops tell you to get in your car, you can honestly say your car isn't here. And when it's time to leave, you can honestly say that their checkpoint on the state right of way is blocking you from getting to your car.
And I'm suprised that none of the ten or so people there couldn't tell the cop that the grassy area around the road is a public right-of-way, not a road. Yes, cops make shit up because they don't know the law (if they did, they would be a lawyer, not a cop). But if your group of ten people is even less knowledgable about the law than the cop, then don't try to argue the law.
And I never heard them ask the cop for his badge number, supervisor's name and what department he was with. Even if the checkpoint is run by the feds, once actual cops show up to help out, you can file a complaint with their PD for assisting.
And trying to convert the agents to your PoV is a lost cause; this is purely a paycheck to them. You might as well be a PETA member trying to walk through a meat processing plant and yelling at them for killing chickens. Nobody is going to quit their job for you.
If you really want to get these to stop, get a bunch of people to go through intentionally during peak travel times (like BEFORE work), play dumb and start up a five minute conversation asking what deal is. Do not act like a protestor, act like an increasingly annoyed motorist. Do not let them direct you out of the primary traffic lane. If you can hold up the line badly enough, otherwise disinterested motorists will start to complain.
It's unfortunate, but most Americans think the Constutution is about as relevant as the Ten Commandments. They're willing to give up any rights that they don't need to exercise on a regular basis if it makes them feel safer or more wealthy. You have to put it in terms that are meaningful to their daily lives.

Part 2 was good except for the guy filming who kept interjecting all of the patriot mythology of the chartered corporation of the state, dhs, border patrol, etc. That just makes everyone look involved look like nuts and hurts their cause which I whole-heartedly believe in.

At the "checkpoint" East of Deming NM, cameras search the
interior of your car as you drive by and if the truth were told/known they
probably have RFID readers and face recognition also.
Creative protest-have signs on your windows, over your face as you
drive thru the electronic search. Easily taken down once you pass
the cameras.
That church/state thing-the state should'nt be a tool of the church,
enforcing dogma a the point of a sword. We know how well that
worked out before.

Gov't Dept. For Gods sakes have something in writing.
These guys take their orders from pieces of paper.
You would have had signatures and phone numbers and some ones name to substantiate your position. That's how things work.
Otherwise every idiot on the highway would be getting into their face.
There just trying to keep the mexigoons out of our country.
And some times you have to go farther inland to catch the ones that go around the designated crossing.

I was kind of hoping the loud mouth with the cam would have gotten tazed... "I'm not tazing you for anything illegal, just for being an a$$hole..." "No, you're not under arrest or anything, I just happen to have a tazer and you just happen to be an a$$hole..."

This is the United States of America, not some oppressive authoritarian government. We SHOULD be able to freely walk from one place to another without written permission. Border checkpoints are a large leap toward a police state.

This is the dumbest post I've even seen on the DP. You're the winner of the stupid contest.
I drive through this checkpoint on a regular basis.
I applaud Pastor Steve's efforts, but this kind of protest is not nearly as effective as the video he shot when he was violated by the Border Patrol and the Arizona Department of Public Safety officers. "Public Safety"... kind of ironic ? This protest comes off as overly antagonistic and provocative for provocations own sake. I applaud his efforts and those with him, but this should have been thought through a bit more.
On a different note, on Friday May 15th my brother in-law was returning to San Diego from business trip in Arizona. He went through the Border Patrol checkpoint just outside of Alpine, Ca. heading west bound. He is caucasian, and he is clean cut- he could pass as a military guy. He was driving a sub-compact car that has no cargo capacity whatsoever. He was pulled into secondary inspection and the officers asked to see his drivers license. No other questions were asked nor did they search his car. It appeared that they just wanted to hassle him. He didn't fit the profile of an illegal alien (very fair skinned caucasian), they didn't ask to search his car, so why was he singled out ? I strongly suspect that it was the "Ron Paul, Restore the Republic" sticker that was in the back windshield. He is convinced that was indeed the case.
I Tend To Agree That Finesse And Praciced Artful Planning ...
... may prove more effective, and, I'll add, will likely come with study and experience. But you are most correct to applaud their bold efforts in confronting the very real emerging police state for which you make no apology.
We must remember it is revolution we hope to foment.

Perhaps they plan on doing four separate protests at the checkpoint or this one protest video is broken into four parts, the first of which is currently available.
The Mexican problem....
First and foremost I'd like to get some things on the table...I am an American of Mexican descent third generation legal. My grandfather came here on a work Visa with some of his children...my father is a naturalized citizen of this country and I was born and raised in this country. I hear about the Mexican problem all the time like it is an American problem...now we may be responsible for some of the turmoil and instability of Mexico and the entire southern continent as well...I've read Confessions of an Economic Hitman...so I am more than well aware of the trouble that our gunvernment has caused, however the Mexican problem is just that...a mexican problem...for very many years the Mexican's had an example of how a civil society could function and operate with the best intrests of their own people in mind and they refused to follow that example or think that they could have something similar in their country. They will not fight for their own liberty, their own natural rights, or anything resembling them so I think that it is that country's problem. I have only one exception to this argument. I think that Mexico would prosper from the legalization of drugs in this country and to ad to thatI think it would solve the illegal immigration problem as well...I am sure that the drug industry would be a trillion dollarindustry at least...

Mexico's biggest problem is America
Much of the corruption in Mexico stems from the drug trade and trafficking flowing from South/Central America across Mexico into the USA. The only success of our prohibition laws has been to drive up the price of drugs, which only makes it a higher stakes industry. Mexico has no funding and little incentive to stop the drug flow, so they just get caught in the crossfire.

On a side note I live just outside of Detroit, which is obviously close to Canada...and I have noticed so many Border Patrol vehicles randomly driving through cities including my own...and there is no direct access. There is a lake...but that is all and it's a big lake. I think the Coast guard can take care of it... Kind of odd. No checkpoints here, just the border crossing in downtown Detroit..but it is an odd site seeing so many lately.
