What is the DPers solutions for healthcare?
Ok guys I know there are alot of bright people on this site and just to show everypone that we arnt just a bunch of crazy conspiriracy therorist.I would like to here some solutions we could come up with on healthcare.I would also like to here from some of our British and Canadian counterparts to see what they think about their health care system. My solution for healthcalre would be for those the rich , those that make over 250.000 grand or more would provide thier own healthcare.those that make between 250,000 and 30.000 would provide for their own healthcare but receive a tax deduction..Corporations and small business would recieve a tax deduction for providing employees with healthcare insurance and for those making 20,000 and under and the unemployed would receive free healthcare that would be a tax deduction for Doctors and hospitals who serve them.So what do you think about this one?

The root of all of this is spiritual
We are devoid, virtually, of a spiritual approach to our experience here. I agree with all here who have said stay away from doctors except for those instances where you've been physically hurt or damaged accidentally in a car, through a fall, etc.
As Mike in the beginning of the video linked here said, doctors and the medical industry approach us humans as a disease just waiting to be discovered and "treated". Stay AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if everyone paid for their own health care
then the rates would tumble because people would not be going to the doctor for every little thing to get a pill or surgery that they do not need in the first place. insurance- ALL insurance is a scam. Insurance was created to keep people from helping one another- creating that same ol same ol separation thought.
where do i get this stuff? hmmmm, look at the amish- just one example.
In my short life i have paid more than 20,0000 dollars to car insurance alone which i have NEVER used. home owners insurance- same and have NEVER used. of course, when my sump pump went out and i was on vacation, my basement filled up. instead of filing a claim, i cleaned it all up myself and bought a new sump pump because guess what- its my house, my sump pump and i was the one who left!! besides, why should others who do not have claims pay for those who do, especially fraudulently. when will personal responsibility become important? again, two rules in MY household and only two-
1- do unto others as you would have them do unto you
2- always be honest.
i know there are those who will say- but what if you get cancer(or whatever) and need all of this exotic expensive treatment? my answer- there is no such thing as need. i could go into the whole radiation thing being a set up and how it actually kills you faster but i don't wanna seem like a conspiracy theorist now do i??? lol

We should all start paying for own so-called health care.
I’m living below the poverty level but, since I try to live and eat right, I only pay a chiropractor bill here and there (except for when I break or sprain something, of course [stuff happens]).

When I grew up (late 50’s
When I grew up (late 50’s – early60’s) there was no such thing as medical insurance. There was hospitalization coverage (employer provided). Normal care (stiches, colds, flu, broken arm, etc.) was out-of-pocket.
A couple of years ago, my brother was dying(being killed) within the medical industrial complex, so I left my home & went to be with him. A hospital employee advocate cut through the red tape of Medicaid and got the government to fund their torture of my brother (and, sad to say, he was a willing accomplice). The oncologist even cut one of their dentist buddies in on the exploitation by convincing my brother that the chemo would kill his teeth and cause some vicious infections, so in his best interest, they arranged to have all his teeth removed ($25,000). In a mere 18 months of torture, a group of doctors managed to bilk $500,000 from Medicaid. As they approached the limits of the coverage on the victim, they killed him. During that time, I found (in my Dad’s files) the hospital bill for my brother’s birth (1948). It was right at $250.00. Oh hell, then the funeral industry kicked in. All costs were out-of-pocket (mine), so they were minimally successful.
I am absolutely convinced that good physicians have been bought by the pharmaceuticals and insurance companies. After all, I would NOT pay over $500 to have a broken arm “fixed” by a Dr. However, the insurance companies have no problem paying $10,000 for the medical industry to “fix” my arm. The insurance companies, with intent, drove the cost of medical procedures up to the point that no one believed they could risk not having medical insurance coverage The legal industrial complex is in lock step with the medical complex and insurance to fleece the masses. Malpractice lawsuits – what a racket – insurance execs get richer, lawyers get richer, medical complex is indifferent – they simple raise prices (drives the sole practitioner out of business, so they have to go work within the complex) – again good for the insurance execs. And “we the people” pay for it through premiums and taxes
Drawing from my personal experiences, I think:
1) Government MUST be removed from health care (Medicare, Medicaid, income tax incentives, regulation, tc)
2) Insurance companies must not be able to advertise (indoctrinate)
3) Americans must be deprogrammed from expecting 100% coverage for each and every self perceived ailment. Seriously, few Americans take any personal responsibility for their own health (brain washed- no matter what I do to myself, the medical industry will fix it)
4) Pharmaceuticals must not be able to advertise (brain wash)
5) Natural methods of health care must be supported//promoted (laetrile, apple cider vinegar, cannabis, etc.)

Your family's experience
Your family's experience with the medical industry that killed your loved one is a case in point of why I have decided not to visit the doctor unless something is broken or needs to be stitched up. They are great at those kinds of things, but if you have a chronic illness or a mystery condition they will do nothing but treat you like a hypochondriac until you show irrefutable signs and it is too late to recover...that is when they treat you by killing you with their terminal drugs and treatments and scaring people away from life saving therapies like the ones you mentioned in #5.
Stay away from the AMA fraudulent medicos in the first place
I've said it before AND I will say it AGAIN! Sure, if you're in a terrible wreck and you have organs scattered in all directions, by all means, go to the ER and get yourself and your body parts hopefully reunited. However, otherwise STAY AWAY FROM THESE CREEPS - THEY JUST WANT YOUR M...O...N...E...Y!!!!!!!!!!

So one of the problems is We have a shortage of doctors. The shortage of doctors was caused by our friends the government. So the best way to take care of this is to flood the market with doctors and You will see the quality of care go up. We have a 900-1 ratio of patients to doctors wouldn't be better if it was 450-1 or heaven forbid if it was 300 to 1 ratio. Another thing the government has shut down a lot of medical schools over the years which also in turn caused the shortage of doctors. What about the board that determines how many doctors can get a liscence each year and how many students are allowed into medical school. So I would open a lot of schools, provide tuitions for doctors wanting to practice in the US, and open the flood gates and allow as many people to get into medical school that wants it...
Now another point the drug cartels or big pharma are the only corporations that are allowed to keep renewing their patents over and over by just changing a few ingredients. We have seen viagra for example on the market for well over 10 years and it still costs 10 dollars to get a hard on. So why on hell haven't they come out with a generic yet? Well I would assume its the government like usual.. We can go on and on with this subject but in the end its the fault of the government because they stepped in and meddled with the free market.
The reason we are always
The reason we are always sick, is because of our terrible diets!
The human body was designed to only drink water, to eat fish, meat, and fruits and vegetables, not diet Pepsi, candy, McDonalds, chips, deep fried food, nachos, donuts, and so on.
There are people and animals who NEVER get diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc. Wild animals for example do NOT get these ailments, unless they change to a human diet.

When you go to the doctor
take a chicken for payment !
One of these days Alice !
bang ! ZOOM ! to the moon!
Yikes! Insurance, entitlements..try CASH
Buy cheapest major medical with high deductible and pay cash for visits, colds, tummy aches.
Don't pay for golden plans that benefit no one but the doctor and the insurance company.
DOCTORS TAKE CASH AND NEGOTIATE.
Sorry for shouting but it seems like everyone is bewitched by the medical industrial complex voodoo.

You don't need tax deduction schemes or any other government
action.
What needs to be done is for government to stay the F&*k out of healthcare and everything else about the economy.
It needs to stick to its SOLE mission, which is to secure the inalienable rights of the people. Government has no other lawful purpose, and if it does try to do anything else, such policies by their nature are an actual infringement on those same inalienable rights.
Of course the first question you need to ask before you try to answer "what is the 'solution' to health care" is "what is the problem?" (is it 'access', 'cost' or 'lack of insurance?' - hint, everyone has 'access' and 'lack of insurance' is entirely irrelevant - the sole problem is 'cost.' If cost were determined by an unfettered free-market, any other issues would vanish)
The second is, "what causes it?"
Since the answer to #2 will be a previous government intervention at the behest of some do gooder closet communist, then the answer to your original question becomes very obvious - STOP INTERVENING.
I never said I had the perfect solution.
Only the best solution I could come up with for the situation that we are in.
Hillary would have a stroke
if she ever read this thread!
Abolish the IRS
Stress related illnesses will be slashed.
The average working person will be more able to afford private insurance, if they so CHOOSE, FREELY, of their own volition.
Eat more organic foods, exercise more.
FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION, the government has no authority to manage healthcare, and have driven associated costs through the roof (duh).
Stop eating at fast food places, drinking too much and smoking too much, and oh yeah, get a little exercise.

solutions to health care
health savings accounts
individual deductions up to 5,000 for health care
point of service system to where patient and doctor decide care
tax credits
allow more insurance companies to compete in all states
more open access to health care
elimination of govt. run health care and give that money back to the individual american for health care costs.
How about Medicare going into your pocketbook or a health care saving account of your choice and control
that is a few portions of the solution.
If you join the military
for 4 years you get to go to the VA for primary care the rest of your life. There was a time when I wouldnt send my sick cat to the VA.but they have really gotten alot better.
I Don't Think So
Not so easy for a vet to get lifetime VA health care. Eligibility and budgets guarantee many can't get it.

John I think you are confusing the term at which they are using
dsabilitys when they say 30 % disabilities or 50% disabilities they are talking about payment compensation you recieve.I know this because a few years ago when I lost my insurance I went to the VA and was treated at no cost or charge. I recieved some blood chlolestol medicene for real cheap.like 6 dollars a bottle.I still continue to recieve free PRIMARY healh care at no charge.Of course when my income goes up again like over 20,000 then I will have to pay more BUT they have only asked me once about my income and that is when I first checked in.
I mean
what they do is take what you made last made in the military and then the give you 30% of that in finanacial compensation.
Cash
Approach any doctor and his/her office like you would any other business;. How much? How soon? etc.
A good insurance plan can be a good target for the doctor and his billing (bilking) staff, don't think that extravagant health benefits actually benefit YOU.
Docs are human too, just as fallible to greed as anyone else. Caveat emptor.

I pay $129 a month to Kaiser Permanente
as an individual. Stop smoking or drinking and pay for your health care. That is my solution, if you have bad habits and cannot afford health care, change your habits. Don't have ten kids if you don't have a good enough job to afford all the health care involved. You have to turn your own life into the free market, and use the same principles to manage your own life economically.

keep it local
I believe each congressional district around the country should pick a university hospital inside it's district to manage the healthcare of the district. Immediately they can employ the county workers then spread into the rest of the electorate.
The problem with healthcare is administration and corruption. Lets put the local hospitals in charge where we can keep an eye on their honesty.
People get used to living with
things like welfare, insurance companies, dept of education, etc, etc. I lived before of lot of these things and guess what we survived. The country is broke and soon we will be without these things again. I fear my government more than not having health care.
