Ohio man creates 110 mpg engine that cranks 400 horsepower. Production to start today 6/01/09. Where is GM????

If GM was serious about recovering they would be all over this. I dont know why this isnt national or even world news.

Doug Pelmear, owner of www.HorsePowerSales.net Inc. and Hp2G LLC, will hold an open house Monday morning in the idle 100,000-square-foot factory he has leased in Wauseon to begin manufacturing his revolutionary engine.

"Mr. Pelmear has said that

"Mr. Pelmear has said that he employs more precise tolerances and manufacturing techniques to decrease heat and energy loss and increase the efficiency of the internal combustion engine. He said he has more than quadrupled the industry average engine efficiency of about 8 percent."

He is a liar.

You know, you can buy a VW jetta TDi and get those HP numbers and about half the mpg numbers. Improve aerodynamics and you would be right there.

"more precise tolerances" is complete baloney.

So we should just take your word for it?

You're a liar. How's that. Indy cars can go 200 miles on a couple gallons of ethanol. because of the extremely close tolerances and light weight engine parts as well as the tuning. Who's to say this fella cant.

" Indy cars can go 200 miles on a couple gallons " ?

What do you consider a couple of gallons ?

Like ... 40 ?

lol..

can I not poke fun too? I would like to see the claims myself about this guys car.

My friend races and I know quite a bit about race cars and the amount of fuel one can ingest. I was being sarcastic and name calling.. man it's tough to display it through a keyboard sometimes.

Other than than do you know how much funny cars can burn in a quarter mile?

Well, they're good, but not quite that good.

They are getting 1/3 better with ethanol than they got with methanol fuel.

Current Indy car fuel mileage with ethanol is around 5-6 miles per gallon. They have 22 gallon fuel tanks.

Stop the NWO....It's just illumi..Naughty !

It's about the MONEY

It's a huge scam. The federal government and those who control same operate on borrowed money. They have made a deal with the oil producers to keep the price and demand for oil high in America as long as the oil producers loan money to the federales by buying their issued notes. Just one hugh Ponzi scheme to prop up the bogus dollar, Federal Reserve and their purchasing of the NWO on our backs. So in this regard the high petroleum prices are just another tax or tribute to create our own demise.

Well, I'm going to state the obvious here.

The Detroit automakers, Big Oil, and Uncle Sam are in bed with each other, like 'rub-a-dub-dub, three men in a tub'. Which is why the Detroit automakers killed the electric car (in full production in 1999), they have never attempted a car that burns bio-diesel, and in general, they have gone out of their way, in the past ten years, to push gas-guzzlers on the general public.

When a bump in the road with high fuel prices caused a catastrophic loss of sales for the purveyors of the gas-guzzling clunkers, the federal government (both administrations) quickly stepped in to "save" the Detroit gas guzzler companies with bailouts--even though the overwhelming public opinion was that they should die off instead, and be liquidated.

I would never expect a truly energy efficient car, or an alternate fuel car, to succeed in the American marketplace, because of the collusion of the three men in the tub--Uncle Sam, the Detroit automakers, and Big Oil.

Then how do you explain...

Why Japan or some other country didn't do it, or why nobody has done it in their own garage, like this guy above. Is the whole world in bed together to keep the evil oil companies in business?

I expect that this engine will be very efficient, but in its efficient stage it will lack power.

Fossils Rock!

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

GM blew it!

They absolutely blew it! I'm keeping my eye on Tesla motors! I can't afford 50k, but if they get enough sales they will eventually be able to make lower cost EV's. Until then I will go with a with car that gets at least 35mpg or possibly a hybrid model, by the way has anyone noticed that gas has gone up!

Fear knocked on my door and Faith answered!

eheh

Tesla motors ftw.

and the really annoying thing is...

you're correct but it goes WAY further back .... the nwo folks suppressed totally kick @ss technology in the late 1800's.

i didn't connect the dots until recently.

my boss who is a former engineer, told me a story of the early electric cars and how it was almost impossible to get one ... while it was super easy to get a ford. at the time, i was like, well ... that was a dumb business move.

then i got to listening to ramtha's 'winds of change' talks and he talks about the greymen (that's what he calls the nwo --grey suits) and the technology they had available in the 1800s that they developed privately.

well, duh. it was intentionally hard to get an electric car. it was never to be successful.

Has anyone ever tried the

Has anyone ever tried the Hydrogen conversion kits? I know a person who did it to his 1999 Ford Tarus and have seen it. He says it increased his fuel mileage by 40-45%. The last time he brought into the service station to get it "smogged" for registration-liscence renewel, it barely registered anything, and the technician could not figure out what was wrong until he found out about the conversion!

and there have been plenty of alternative systems from compressed air, to water as fuel.

He'll be dead inside of 6 months in all likelihood.

Tip - if you invent a way to avoid using low mileage cars and or convert your auto to run on something other than gasoline, E85 or diesel - don't tell anyone unless you plan on having your designs shelved and destroyed, and for you to depart this world earlier than you would have otherwise.

If you decide to go public anyway, expect to meet an untimely and strange end, most likely at the hands of alleged 'random muggers' or 'burglers.'

If you manage to survive that, and your invention actually makes it into production, expect the do gooder closet communists in CONgress to find a way to make your company and your invention public enemy number one. You will be "red-taped" out of business or you will give up out of exhaustion trying to fight legal battles.

TPTB do not want you to help anyone get out from under their yoke and to be independent. It would hurt next quarter's earnings report.

Oh, I doubt they'd kill him.

It's much easier to buy people off with free money printed at the Fed, and provided by taxpayers.

I would never expect a 100-MPG car to make it, of course. Not in the "USSA".

It runs on ethanol so the engine will have very little emissions and will last 3 times as long as a conventional engine.

Also this can account for much of the better efficiency. A conventional ICE engine optimum tuned for ethanol will get about 20% better milage so what ever else he has done I am curious to find out.

This is looking pretty good if they don't kill it. They will probably kill it because if it catches on it will put the oil companies out of business.

Note: please don't whine about ethanol if you are uneducated since all the bad stuff you have heard or read about ethanol is BS.

And bio-diesel is ten times better than ethanol.

That's why the Fedgov ignores it. That's why the Press doesn't discuss it. It's a total solution to the energy crises on this planet. Ethanol is great, but bio-diesel is even better. It's clean-burning, pragmatic, and simple--based on technology from 1902.

Problem?--it would enrich farmers, instead of petroleum companies. Hence it's unlikely to ever achieve serious production in this country.

Actually no it's not,

Actually no it's not, Ethanol burns cleaner, is easier and cheaper to make and was the fuel the ECI was originally designed to run on.

The model A ran on ethanol and got 32 miles to the gallon back then. Henry Ford was asked how come ethanol and he said because there are more stills in this country then gasoline stations. Rockefeller bankrolled the suffrage movement and got prohibition passed solely for the purposes of corning the market for gasoline and it worked.

Otherwise we would be energy independent today like Brazil is. No new or experimental technology is needed. ethanol can be made for 45 cents a gallon. Engines last longer on ethanol because there is no carbon build up.

Bio-diesel is good and has it's place but will never be a total solution. And by the way diesels can run on ethanol also with the some minor tuning. Also jets can too.

Also the by product from distilling is a very high protein animal feed or fertilizer. Cattle fed it have 20% more meat. Most current plants are modeled after the centralized gasoline plants and throw out the valuable by product because it not cost effective to ship it back to the farms.

Decentralized local and regional plants are the way to go to bring the costs down and make use of the by products it all win win.

Google David Blume and "Alcohol Can be a Gas" He wrote the bible on ethanol and explodes all the myths put out about it by big oil! It really is liquid sunshine as he likes to say.

ethanol is partially

ethanol is partially oxygenated, is cheaper to make from sugar cane than from corn and still requires huge government subsidies.

you'd be better off pressure cooking your corn and sugar cane into petroleum than this ethanol horseshit. biodiesel isn't much better either since it isn't feasible on a large scale.

Ethanol cheaper?

I don't think ethanol would be cheaper... I can make bio-diesel for ~50 cents/gallon.

What's your cost for ethanol?

what will be your cost when

what will be your cost when there is a huge demand for used french fry oil?

for that matter, what is the cost of vegetable oil?

sure, it's vastly better than ethanol; it isn't oxygenated, and it runs on an adiabatic cycle, but i can't see it being practical on a large scale considering how little oil one gets out of a plant.
