The Mexican problem....why won't they fight for their own prosperity...?

0 votes

First and foremost I'd like to get some things on the table...I am an American of Mexican descent third generation legal. My grandfather came here on a work Visa with some of his children...my father is a naturalized citizen of this country and I was born and raised in this country. I hear about the Mexican problem all the time like it is an American problem...now we may be responsible for some of the turmoil and instability of Mexico and the entire southern continent as well...I've read Confessions of an Economic Hitman...so I am more than well aware of the trouble that our gunvernment has caused, however the Mexican problem is just that...a mexican problem...for very many years the Mexican's had an example of how a civil society could function and operate with the best intrests of their own people in mind and they refused to follow that example or think that they could have something similar in their country. They will not fight for their own liberty, their own natural rights, or anything resembling them so I think that it is that country's problem. I have only one exception to this argument. I think that Mexico would prosper from the legalization of drugs in this country and to ad to thatI think it would solve the illegal immigration problem as well...I am sure that the drug industry would be a trillion dollar industry at least...

Flour tortillas are not very dangerous.

Even when thrown at full-force.

Never give up your guns...

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

I agree with you that drug legalization

would be a step forward for both countries. Then the biggest problem remains, that of educating both citizenry to stop allowing governments to control everything, keeping the people poor in resources and opportunities.

I don't see the US citizens doing anything

about fighting for their own freedom within the US. It seems to be a universal problem. People whine but basically just let whatever happens happen.

Mexico's Lack of Prosperity

Living near the border, and having spent many years in and out of Mexico, I have observed much, read much, and thought much on this subject. Let me offer the following:

1. The Reformation never reached Spain

2. The feudal system lasted until the Revolution of 1910

3. The feudal system was re-instituted by the State as the Ejido system.

4. People are used to being serfs.

Of course there are many exceptions in the upper classes and in the North of Mexico. However, there is an additional reason.

5. By denying its people their natural right to self-defense (I mean the Mexican gun-control laws) the Mexican Government ensures that the rank and file in Mexico will be at the mercy of the criminal class. They make a big fuss about guns being smuggled into Mexico from the US and other places, but in my view it is because the populace is officially unarmed, and there are draconian laws that punish anyone caught disobeying them, that Mexico is locked in its present dilemma.

Well Said

Why won't the Afghans fight for their freedom?, or the people of

Iraq, or the Japanese, or the Haitians, or the people of any other country we have to bomb and rebuild in the name of making the world safe for Democracy.

What can be said of a people who would sell their own children into slavery, using the rational that it is to protect their freedom?

'scuse me?

we don't have to do anything- the afghans did not ask us to come there. do some research before you start blaming these other countries who by no will of their own must PUT UP WITH the U.S. meddling in their business because simply put- they have something our "government" wants.

To Be Blunt

their not willing to die for freedom.

They have no leadership to forge their own liberty, they remain in bondage-slavery. Our Forefathers were educated, they were not ignorant!

But, there are many examples of that across the globe, not just the Mexicans. It takes a strong belief system which most countries do not possess to die fighting tyranny!

At this time Mexicans are caught in the middle, one side, the Mexican government abuses their authority against the people. Side two, the American and/or New World Order people here are using them to destroy us.

Caught in the middle, between a rock and a hard place, so they say.

Most of the Mexicans or people of Mexican descent...

...here in Texas are fairly hard working and nice people. However, most don't want to learn anything, think the government is there just to take from those who earn something and give to those that did not earn it, and believe that all white people have too much. Illegal immigration is wonderful, as long as it is Hispanic people coming into the country, but nobody else. The government should force out everyone from America who is not Hispanic, especially white people that were born here. But the white people who are forced to leave should still support Hispanic people who stay.
Yes, I know, I will be accused of being a racist for this comment. It is made over 30 years of observation in Texas. I am part of a multi-racial family.

I thought....

We had all kinds of manufacturing facilities in Mexico....

That's like saying, I

That's like saying, I thought we had a free country. It looks free, but it ain't.

The problem has to do with

The problem has to do with Free trade. If people didn't apply their protectionist policies, then Americans would set up factories in their country all over the place, and then you would have increased prosperity locally giving them ample reason to stay. As it is with the anti-immigration types, they fail to see how free trade would stem illegal immigration and reduce the cost of goods and services to America. They just want to try and "protect" American jobs, but we all know that this is a fallacy.

Because...

Some morons took away all their guns. Now, the only ones who have guns are the corrupt cops and the drug dealers and criminals. Which pretty much proves the following statement I use on gun-grabbing libs all the time: "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."

Paul.

I am also part Mexican

I am also part Mexican (Spanish/Mexica). I think the problem is much more deeper than what we realize. Their government is extremely corrupt. Mexico has been ruled and controlled by the generational elite for a long time. It is this kind of tyranny that causes them to accept socialism. Perhaps the r3VOLution's message can reach them. I would be interested to see how they would react to the message of liberty and freedom.

I wonder...

What would happen if I sent some literature from the C4L website to my family members and asked them to spread the message...

I was actually thinking of

I was actually thinking of translating some of Ron Paul's quotes into spanish and posting it so we can get the spanish speakers on board.

Please Please PLEASE Do This!

I am a Precinct Chair in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, and the biggest challenge I face is that I don't have and literature or dvds in Spanish to give out.

I wish to heaven that Freedom to Fascism, Fiat Empire and others were available in Spanish.

Please let me know either in this thread or email me using the contact feature if you are able to translate anything.

Thanks in advance.

I have

always wondered why they haven't stood up for themselves either. We are no different here in America. We are letting our freedoms slip completely away and no one cares. I still believe the answer lies in education.

bump....

for disscussion....
