★ Pointless bills in Congress? {leave a comment}★

Is it just me or does most of the bills introduced in Congress seem a waste of time? Why not introduce a bill that will reverse the patriot act?
Example:
-Congratulating the American Dental Association for Its 150th Year of Working to Improve the Public’S Oral Health and Promoting Dentistry
-Recognizing the 30th Anniversary of the Election of Margaret Thatcher As the First Female Prime Minister of Great Britain
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why are we paying using our tax dollars on our reps voting on somewhat pointless votes like these?

Government waste?
Is there someone actually archiving all this info? It must be a huge library of useless information.
Fear knocked on my door and Faith answered!
They're not bills dude, they're just proclamations
It's usually just something for them to present to someone in their district. I'm sure you could find many examples of actual legislation, but so far you've just found ceremonial stuff.

Do we have to have a Congratulating bill every damn day?
How about a Congratulation
day when we kick the waste out of Washington, DC
and replace them with Constitutional stalwarts
who will bring our Republic back !
