who is deleting my post

somehow i have managed not to have any post deleted in 1 year 21 weeks and now tonight i have had 6 plus post deleted.
i think i need to cancel my monthly subscription.
i noticed this happen to other people right after Micheal left on his trip!

Logged on at work for a minute to just say the whole post was scrubbed, many of the in between comments are missing yours, mine, Lisa, Cliffy's, Gil's, D4L, See-Thru and maybe some others I am forgetting... What a shame, we were just having fun.

One of the great ( ? ) things
on this forum is that a mod can re-create their posts, after a reply ( which the rest of us cannot do ), and delete, or modify, responses, in order to completely change the context of the discussion.
It has happened to me numerous times.
No names - no pack-drill !

I haven't taken any topics down as of late. If you, or anyone are missing just some random 'comment,' that could be from the following also:
I tend to control spambots most often and do delete their topic threads when I find them. (usually filled with many links or leading up to an unrelated business advertisement)
I also delete their comments (they have the same characteristics) but their comments also contain a software generated text response that makes it appear as if a person typed it as a comment or reply, followed by the unrelated website link(s) at the bottom of the comment.
Unfortunately, the comment they leave is often structured well enough that some people actually respond to it, thinking it is a real comment by another person. Once the spambot comment is deleted, the site software automatically deletes any replies to that comment along with it. We can't control that, it just does that.
Bots usually comment on multiple threads, so when we clean up after them, we don't necessarily see each comment, or see if there were replies to any of their comments, because we actually delete them by their username from a list of all the current comments on the site by checking a box next to them and deleting them all at once, it saves time vs. searching through every topic for each of their comments. So if someone did reply to one of them thinking it was a human that posted it, their reply would be deleted too.
So if you (or anyone) have lost some random comment somewhere along the line, I apologize, It could have been me or any one of us.

I hope you don't cancel because I enjoy your posts and whoever is deleting them should explain to us all what is going on.
I'll stand with you. I don't have a monthy subscription to threaten, but I do make contribution to causes I see worthy and I just LOVE my Ron Paul calander.
I hope this gets cleared up to your satisfaction for that is mine too.

A post of mine was deleted a couple months ago, too. (link: http://www.dailypaul.com/node/87997) When I posted another thread asking who deleted it and why, I got no real answers.
I think sent an email to Michael Nystrom who responded within a day, and all he said was that he'll look into it. I never heard anything else.
