People of NJ. Too stupid to even help themselves...

Voted in the primaries last night... Couldn't believe the fact I was the only one there at the time.

"It's always light for the primaries", I was told.

At stake, a possible reprieve - albeit temporary - from the downward spiral the state has been in under the 'same old' leadership during the past ten administrations, be they democratic or republican.

Steve Lonegan would have been a refreshing change - there's an overused word..- to the usual "business as usual" of the state.

Lower taxes, smaller government, people keeping their hard-earned money... and the GOP turned it's back on them and sided with their puppet, Chris Christie.

Chris Christie does not even have an opinion, let alone a plan. He is being coached and counseled by the powers that be behind the scenes. When his mouth moves, their words come out.

Lonegan had a proven track record as the mayor of Bogota. His 'slash-and-burn' approach to government would have been a turning point to this state.

But, thanks to the apathetic slackers in this otherwise wonderful state, we will now have the choice of 'dumb or dumber' when it's time to pick a governor.

We're screwed again.

Yes, I'm always hammered for donations

but I don't donate much. I'm too busy working to pay my extremely high property taxes...who can afford to donate to anything!

For me, it would be too hard to leave my family and friends.

Yeah, it is

Yeah, it is unfortunate.

Repeal the 17th Amendment!

SteveMT, I too was born and

SteveMT,

I too was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from TSC, which is now College of New Jersey. I am still here though (sigh).

Do they hammer you also for donations?

You and LastAmerican + other RPs from NJ people need to form an NJ-RP group. How does one change such a regressive state, so full of corruption? I don't know.
Try and get out of there, and get up here. I know that you will love it!

LastAm: I know your pain.

I was born and raised there and graduated from TSC now called NJ college something. They want money from me all the time. The state is the most regressive that I have ever lived in. Tolls, car inspections, taxes, high prices for everything, traffic, politics, graft and corruption at every level, and high stress. My brother and family are there and will never leave, for what reason I don't know. I tried to get them out.
Street after street of empty office space and now big unemployment. Burger flipping in Jersey will not pay many bills with their cost of living.
The state is a real mess.

It is hugely difficult to pick up and leave your home...

I know that's usually the advice you get from others but, my God how do you just pick up and leave family, friends, jobs, etc.?

Moving to another state is out of the question.

I'll stand and fight here.

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

I did while single, long before families came along.

Returning there would be a living nightmare for me.
All of you have to be on the same page with a big move.
Can you sell your place, and can you and family get jobs up here?
The cost of living is certainly low and NO car inspections!
Everyone needs a dream. It took 9 years for me to get get here for good. There is hope.

Yes

Yesterday was a IQ test for the New Jersey GOP.

They failed miserably.

But, Ron Paul liberty candidates did win at the local levels in some areas, so there are pockets of intelligence to be found.

Michael Doherty for one, will go to the NJ State Senate.

I've spent alot of time in the North Eastern states and I

wouldn't give a plug nickle for any of them. California and Illinois ranks (ha) the same. I say, dump all of them. Boycott!
