Why fair tax is Bulls*^t
ACOUNTANTS: they will never give up thier piggy bank.
You must use an acountant for a refund, or to protect yourself from a audit.
No way the acountants will allow a flat tax, or any simplification of the code.
The Fair Tax is never going
The Fair Tax is never going to happen. A higher sales tax on everything would bankrupt the middle class and lower class. Do you all honestly believe that the government is just going to say, "oh well, they can't afford it, I guess we are going to have to cut the size of the Fed..." No, they will jack the sales tax up to 50% or whatever it takes to maintain their leviathon.
On Huckabee vs. Paul and explaining it to potential supporters always go the logical route...
1.)Are you aware that Mike Huckabee increased the size of the Arkansas state government as governor?
2.)Are you aware that Mike Huckabee raised taxes while governor?
3.)Don't you think it's odd that he would raise taxes then and want to lower them now, especially when we are racking up more debt to China and inflation is surging?
Remember past behavior predicts future performance. If Ron Paul was promising everything he is promising and didn't back it up with his vote for the past 35 years, would any of us be here supporting him? Doubtful.

Great Comparison of the Two on taxes
I saw this video and thought it made the point very well.
The Fair Tax is great that it will reduce the compliance costs and it will allow people to know what the true cost of government is.
It might be a great first step but let's just get to the crux of the problem, government spending.
It's great to abolish the IRS but if you don't cut revenue, you're only solving half of the problem.

I am an ACTIVE supporter of The FairTax Act.
Spending and the tax rate should be reduced and balanced annually.
