Thank you Ron Paul, Thank you Daily Paul

In the letter that I read at the Revolution March last summer, I said something to the effect of, "I am raising my voice now, while I am still able to raise it, to let posterity know that I was still here when the ruins of our republic are examined."

Dr. Paul's heroic speeches to Congress do the same thing, only much better than I could and in a much more important context - The Record. His comments are read into the official record of Congress and will survive as long as those records survive, giving hope that my daughter or her children will stumble upon them in some future America and rediscover the spirit of liberty.

Daily Paul also immortalizes these words and ideas, and its members disseminate them too far and too wide for any government witchhunt to find and erase them all.

God bless Dr. Paul and Daily Paul!

damn

every time i watch this video it gets better and better. RP is the man!

dear lord, he is such a magnificent man!

i hope you can feel the love coming your way doc!

Ron Paul is my President

Odd!

That Obama visits a German concentration camp and at the same time justifies "enhanced interrrogation" and "preventive detention".

is odd.

Well, maybe he wanted to get some inspiration!

"Freedom is always the freedom of dissenters"
Rosa Luxemburg

Like most slick politicians, he talks

the talk, doesn't walk the walk.

Thanks for the truth Dr. Paul...

Ron Paul is my president too.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Heartbreaking

I keep saying this: his wonderful speech will encourage nobody to do anything. The Congress is pretty much bought and paid for by special interests. They could care less if the country hits the wall.

But when it does, I hope they will look back and think, "We could have saved it, but we didn't."

Fantastic speech.

I agree with ksa4liberty, I don't care who they swore in, all others are impostors. Ron Paul is my president and has been all along.

Excellent

Worth the download on dial up.

Someone Please call RP

And tell him, we live in a communist country.

That was one great speech...

truthful, insightful and to the point.

One other thing...is Ron Paul becoming more forceful when he gives his speeches?

Ron was quite fiery when he was younger

check out any speech he gave in the 80's. He does well with righteous fury or that inflappable, pleasant, inescapable reason that he mostly exhibits today.

I don't care who they swore in...

Ron Paul is my president. He just confirms it with every word he speaks.

You what I find interesting about the media...

is how history isn't important-- except when they want it to be. Remember how Bill O'Reilly "didn't want a history lesson" on the Middle East or on Morning Joe they didn't want to talk about "the past" but about "the future"?

Interesting then that programs like Meet the Press went back....*150 years* to debate Ron Paul's position on... the War to Prevent Southern Independence!

No! What the politicians did to us 5 or 10 years ago isn't important to debate but Dr. Paul's academic view on what happened 150 years ago is so urgent of a question that it needs to be brought up on highly rated Sunday talk shows during a presidential campaign when--I'd imagine-- the host would be even *more* interested in what a candidate wants for the future.

Shills!

Hannity did this same thing yesterday when a caller wanted to...

...recount the history of the justifications for going to war in Iraq. The caller was actually making a valid point, but Hannity seized on the opportunity to cut the caller off on account of "all that tired liberal drivel" (or some similar comment).

To me, it is very embarrassing that the country would fall for such trickery. A valid argument is no less valid when it is supported by history. Yet they pretend that history is only trivia---and that it is the haven of kooks who have nothing really compelling to say.

It is a fool's argument--both for the one arguing and his audience.

Great speech...

hopefully someone is listening!

gigione

It was awfully quiet in that room when he finished.

Wouldn't it be instructive if the camera had been on the faces of those in the seats? Would we have seen rolling of eyes? Napping? Murmuring?

What a "freak" he must be to them, since he clearly marches to the beat of a different drummer.

We simply must send him some help so that there is someone to applaud and support his speeches.

Typically the place is empty

Typically the place is empty other than a few interns taking their families on a tour. It fills up when there is a vote. You may want to visit sometime and watch how it works.

Wouldn't it be great if Ron

Wouldn't it be great if Ron Paul had some allies. But, no, people like Octobox and bbagnall would rather him be alone than to help RJ Harris, Kokesh, and Rand to seats of high office. So much for antigovernment. People like Octobox and bbagnall are the stalwarts who keep us dragged behind, while we could move forward like a ship on high winds.

That's what kind of makes them useful, at the same time they don't need to push their communism on us. They could join the neocons on their websites. Jeffrey Goldberg, from the Atlantic magazine, has a prolific blog to prove that a person is able to post on several websites through out the day. Good job.

I've seen the occasional shot of the mostly-empty chamber.

Perhaps there is no better freeze-frame picture of the state of the union than that.
