THIS BILL REMOVES "FOR GOOD CAUSE SHOWN" EXPLICITLY WHICH ALLOWS CPS TO JUST WANT TO GAIN ACCESS TO YOUR CHILD, ENTER YOUR HOME, AND LOOK AT YOUR RECORDS FOR ANY REASON THEY DEEM NECESSARY FOR THEIR INVESTIGATION. THEY ONLY NEED TO SAY THEY WANT SOMETHING TO "AID THEIR INVESTIGATION" AND IT'S THAT SIMPLE! (no probable cause protections whatsoever)
It will be easier than ever to use anonymous reporting to retaliate against families if this passes. No protections or rights against ABUSE OF POWER will be left in place!

Already too much!
It's already too easy for the state to take your kids away. Anyone can report that they "know" or "suspect" you are abusing your children, with ZERO proof whatsoever, and the state is now "obligated" to come take away your children and investigate it. All they have to do is have a disagreement with you, and voila! The perfect vengeance, and because it's anonmymous, there are no consequences to them!
When can we get a bill in place that does one of two things:
1)Takes away the anonymous status of people who report falsely so parents who were wronged can sue them or have them arrested for malicious intent.
2)REQUIRES some kind of tangable evidence on the part of the reporter before anything is done.
The "child abuse" problem is nowhere NEAR as bad as the government and media want us all to believe. Wake up America, and wake up Texas!
California is touted as being the "model state" by the liberals (maybe because they'll pass just about anything that comes down the pipe). I think Texas should go total opposite and be the model state of how a truly free place works!

Unbelievable - based on the CPS record, we need to be passing legislation to investigate THEM, and set the bar as high as possible for any court to gain any access to any child.

this is outright stealing children.
I don't have kids, but if I did, anyone trying to steal them would have to get past the barrage of copper and lead headed their way first. There is simply no way in Hell, or on God's Green Earth that I would NOT attempt to kill anyone who tried to steal my child. I don't care WHAT the pretext or legal argument.
(They also aren't getting into my house without a warrant - I don't care WHO they work for.) Breaking and Entering my house makes you a criminal and will get you shot.
I know all too well what this is
they have been at my door. 3 officers and a cps worker. I was shocked and must have looked foolish as I stood there with my mouth hanging open, head shaking no in disbelief. The claim was that I smoked pot, did cocaine, homeschooled, had no electricity, and I had an AK and many guns in my home. The cops stood there with their arms crossed looking at me. I said "you're kidding, right?" (I'm all of 115 lbs)
She said she had to come in and instpect my home. I told her that she was not coming into my home that I wanted to know who made such a complaint that I had the right to face my accuser. She said that it was an
unidentified caller. I looked at the "officers" and one said, "we're just here to protect her." Holy shit, I couldn't believe my ears on that one. I looked him right in the eye and said, "who is going to protect me?" he looked at the ground. I them said calmly, "This is communism."
To make a long story short, my husand and I submitted to a drug test. And the idiots were satisfied to learn my power cable is UNDERGROUND.
This encounter felt like terrorism.

I'm with you there! The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution was put in place not for hunting and recreation like the liberals want us to believe. It was put in place to protect us from both outside threats, and against a government that wants to enforce total control and tyrany in our every day lives! If the state of Texas wants to take away the 4th Amendment, they can FACE the consequences of the 2nd amendment!
