rhino: The idea fight.
The fight is about ideas.
To call for censorship is to admit defeat.
To ridicule your opponents is to feed your opposition.
If you have an idea or an ideal, defend it to your death.
But defend it wisely, or you will have chosen death.
I say this because I find many that I agree with, now calling for censorship or for the moderators to edit more in their favor.
I have never done this. I only wish that the moderators NOT censor and NOT edit in favor of my opposition.
I also say this to point out the hypocrisy of my opponents here at dp. You call your opponents trolls, claim they are personally attacking people, claim they are stupid, and finally claim that they have some divine power over the site either by being a moderator or by being the squeaky wheel that has successfully gained the ear of the almightily Mr. Nystrom.
I picked this fight. This is my role. I have decided long ago (in dp terms) that my role was to affect the posting policies here at dp so that dp can maximize its impact by reaching the most amount of people.
People do not fear the topic of 9/11, but they fear the discussion that we have here regarding 9/11.
People do not fear the topic of chemtrails, but they fear some of the posts here at dp regarding this subject.
People do not fear the topic of militias, but they fear where some of those threads take them.
People do not fear the topic of Zionism, but they fear the bigots that post on those topics.
People do not fear freedom, but they fear that such a message may be used as a cloak for some other agenda.
Why do I think this?
Because I have these fears. Because I always have the following phrase pop into my brain: “Be careful what you wish for.”

In a free market economy...
the strong survive. Fear is the field of the weak.
These are not derogatory remarks. They are simply functions of supply and demand. If a product (idea or thread) is not sufficient to provide demand, then it falls off the list and into oblivion. It could be defined as weak. The opposite could be defined as "strong".
I think that definition is sufficient. However the great fear in any free market is...government tampering. Boy, have we seen our share of that!, in the real world. That tampering is what most of these posts demonstrate at their basic level. But, the fear is ALWAYS government tampering. For some tampering is changing the classical ideals, while for others tampering is hindering "progress". In the end this is a battle of evolution. The evolution of this site. Has it been tainted? Has it been supressed?
Let me give you an image. Step back, step forward, step side, step side. This is what happens here all the time. It is a dance. It is our dance. It is the dance of Liberty. It may be stuttered, and off beat. It may seem perfectly timed to the music. But in all cases it is organic and alive.
Slavery is nothing, if it is not prescribed and insetient.

How many are in favor of CD and IJ?
How many bring thought, reason, rationality, and most important ... skepticism?

To post to the FRONT PAGE a one sided view of what the message is, cannot, I repeat cannot, foster the ideal of a true free market place of ideas.

Sovereignty is...
a slippery slope. But what are we fighting for?
If sovereignty is necessary the we will make it, and if our efforts are not sufficient, then we will have to work harder.
None can discount the sacrifice required for sovereignty. It is not an idea, it truly is a lifestyle.
