Paul Craig Roberts: Goodbye to All That...
Submitted by Michael Nystrom on Wed, 11/28/2007 - 02:31By Paul Craig Roberts
Pat Buchanan is too patriotic to come right out and say it, but the message of his new book, Day of Reckoning is that America as we have known her is finished. Moreover, Naomi Wolf agrees with him. These two writers of different political persuasions arrive at America’s demise from different directions.
Buchanan explains how hubris, ideology, and greed have torn America apart. A neoconservative cabal with an alien agenda captured the Bush administration and committed American blood, energy, and money to aggression against Muslim countries in the Middle East, while permitting America’s domestic borders to be overrun by immigrants and exporting the jobs that had made the US an opportunity society. War and offshoring have taken a savage economic toll while open borders and diversity have created social and political division.
In her new book, The End of America: Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, Wolf explains America’s demise in terms of the erosion of freedoms. She writes that the ten classic steps that are used to close open societies are currently being taken in the US. Martial law is only a declaration away.
. . .
[Following 9/11] the US became a tyranny in which people could be arrested and incarcerated on the basis of unsubstantiated accusation. Both US citizens and non-citizens were denied habeas corpus, due process, and access to attorneys and courts.

Why Evangelical Christians need to support Cong. Paul
I find much in this topic disturbing. While I am not sure how far I choose to go with this matter I do feel moved to suggest this: My fellow Christians need to consider that of all this happens - we lose our freedoms and our Constitutional Republic - the origin of it will be globalist elites who do not share our values. They will be against the exclusive nature of the Christian religion ("I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6 as paraphrased by me. [I would add that all can come to Christ but all MUST come to Christ to be saved]), the Lordship of Christ, the authority of the Bible and that certain things now held sinful will be rejected.
Hence, we must rebuild, like Nehemiah, the constitutional walls of our Republic and remove the powers not needed. That means Cong. Paul. None of the other Republicans (even Huckabee who I can admire very much) will do it and forget the Democrats - their leaders will be part of the problem.
Of course I do not need to remind by fellow believers that it is economic power that the beast or antichrist uses to bind all to his rule - no man may buy or sell without the mark of the beast. See Revelation chapter 13:16-17.
So forget about the war issue and look to the bigger picture. Loss of Liberty. If that happens there will be less opportunity to witness, fewer will get pastoral training and become pastors and there will be fewer missionaries for world evangelization. Of course God does not need the USA to do His work but we want to be good citizens and we are the best citizens when we restore the Republic!

Patty B on C2C-AM right now
Wed night Buchanan is on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. I'm listening now, should be interesting---(p.s.--what is PC Roberts getting at with the alien agenda...I'm assuming he means the elite?).
It's true
When the gov, the media, and 120 families do all your thinking for you, then you're at their mercy. We're like children never allowed to leave home. Only a dictatorship has more control, controlling information through the FCC licensing only big corporations, if they like the 'programming'. Only adults can run a free society. When the gov controls education, then thinking is all locked up. What to think not how to.
What, me worry?
What, me worry?
Besides Buchanan and Wolf, there are others also exposing these
truths. Judge Napolitano for one and...
Bruce Fein (who is part of Ron Paul's campaign [legal team]) and Bob Barr, who are conservatives (like Buchanan) compared to Wolf... have this organization: http://www.americanfreedomagenda.org/index.html
Here is a very good interview where Barr and Fein speak about the real state of the government and 'end of America' / Constitution etc.,

Someone posted this interview the other day - it's long, I finally finished watching it and recommend everyone try see it and pass it on to friends.
End of America?
No way... What's special about America is the state of mind Americans have, and that if it's gone, will lead to total hopelessness for many. It cannot die.
The ideology is *timeless* and that's what's at stake.
The wisdom of the founders only happens a few times each millennium. We need to make sure that Dr. Paul wins. I think everyone would agree that only when it seems like things are bad will the masses rally around the timeless message. It's too bad it had come this far, but lets not lose all hope.
My only fear is that the masses were going around like robots for many years, and had forgotten what true freedom can be. I am happy that many of us have not forgotten.
We *need* to wake up the rest!

Buchanan on Beck last night
Did anyone catch Buchanan on the Glenn Beck program last night (first I saw it)? Did we perhaps get through to Glenn? Because he mentioned Ron at the end of the segment as a potential solution to the Perfect Storm. I couldn't believe it and still question his sincerity. Was he playing up to Buchanan or was he serious. If he was serious, then I'm noticing a definite shift in the media's portrayal of Ron Paul. Anderson Cooper even complimented Paul last night, saying that other candidates are envious of his fundraising strategies.
Yeah, I caught it
To listen to Glenn and Pat discuss America's problems last night, you would think they were on Ron Paul campaign staff. They do everything but give him credit for addressing these problems head on for the last 20 years - back when our course could have been easily changed. I missed Glenn mentioning Ron Paul's name. Not only on Glenn's show, but I've noticed all of the CNN/Fox/etc. show are starting to "ratchet up" the rhetoric about a misguided America. The old song and dance about Everything's Wonderful is not playing well anymore, and they know it. The awkward postition they now find themselves, is that they just stepped on-board the Ron Paul bandwaggon and they don't even know it!!!!!!
For instance, very little discussion about Iraq on last night's show. Hmmmm, do you think it's a getting a little "too unpopular" for them to keep on aggressively supporting? Me thinks so.
Ron Paul should be advised to comment on how the mood is changing to his viewpoint, and remind the masses, that he was there first!

Got the Clip!
I found the clip regarding Glenn Beck mentioning Ron Paul during his discussion with Pat Buchanan. check it out - http://www.libertymaven.com/2007/11/27/glenn-beck-pat-buchan...
Why does Glenn Beck always say, "I'm Libertarian, BUT..."
I think he's so different from most Libertarian's I've seen or read about.
He *really* does agree with Ron Paul, he'd just rather choke than outright admit it.
Libertarian BUT . . .
Neal Boortz does the same thing. Makes you cringe as badly as hearing the Neobots on stage blaspheme the name of Reagan.
Naomi Wolf was on the Lep Factor with Kasich subbing and he was really being an a'hole towards her. Naomi stood her ground!
All problems easily fixed...
All problems easily fixed... just get the government the hell out of our way.
Easily? don't think so..
Easily? don't think so.. Simply? yep.
