Liberty Movement Key Topic: Racism is Stupid, Racism in Action is Evil

There are lots of whispers floating in the corporatist media about racist white Americans getting involved doing potentially very stupid crap.

Additionally, in many reports, they try to tie these people with "militias" and even the "freedom movement".

Needless to say, there are layers of CRAP here.

1. If anybody judges another individual based on their phenotype (i.e how God made you look when you were born), regardless of which race is involved, the individual making the judgment based on race is a TOTAL IDIOT.

2. As Ron Paul said, racism is an abhorrent form of crass collectivism. Race-based collectivist groupthink has no place in ANY serious movement or ANY decent society at ANY time. So any race-based thinkers out there, you are total collectivist mush brained fools who, if you do try to latch on to the Liberty Movement, you will be HURTING IT by your willingness to think and act based on phenotype. God (and common sense) says judge INDIVIDUALS based on their ACTIONS, do not judge based on your hazy collectivists nonsense. This critique goes for ANYBODY, regardless of which phenotype or ethnicity one holds.

3. As a devoted advocate for Individual Liberty, limited government and a Constitutional Rule of OBJECTIVE Law, I WHOLLY DENOUNCE any race-based thinking or activities driven by racial collectivist idiocy and hatred.

4. As I have been a member of this movement for some time, I have come across little racism in the core of the movement. Any racist thought is VERY FRINGE to the TRUE Ron Paul and overall Liberty/Constitution/Common Sense movement in America and beyond our borders. This movement is based on INDIVIDUALISM and EQUALITY UNDER OBJECTIVE LAW. This is a Godly system. Those who think in racist terms are doing the Devil's work on earth. Divided and conquered.

5. This movement is focused on reforming America RIGHTEOUSLY to its CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC and the RULE OF OBJECTIVE LAW based on the principles of unalienable rights to LIFE, LIBERTY, the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, and the PURSUIT OF RIGHTFULLY OBTAINED PROPERTY. It is based on freedom for all and it is focused on achieving this peacefully, avoiding any form of aggression. At the same time, it is reflected that self-defense of said God-given rights, is recognized as not aggression. But our first lines of self defense are getting out and speaking with other souled and brained individuals who can grasp the basic concepts of living in peace and freedom with their fellow human being.

6. If anyone is orchestrating and using useful idiots to try to paint the Liberty Movement in a negative light via propagandized efforts to create strawmen images in the corporate media to cow the people at large and tar the Liberty Movement with actions of wayward fools, I for one denounce and damn the actions of those individuals. Needless to say, that is the work of pure evil. Those efforts need to desist and I call on the Creator to ensure it is a total FAIL.

7. I have seen people work to tar this movement by tying it to racist collectivists. That must end and it must be ended by internal action on all of our parts.

8. Finally, LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR. I don't care what race, religion, ethnicity, country of origin, etc., etc. ALWAYS extend a hand of love first, second, third. Continue to preach love, joy, peace, liberty, truth, and justice and your message will not be stopped! Treat people as you would want to be treated: in a just, honest manner, reflecting the individual humanity and dignity of each individual in his or her own life experience here on earth.

It is MUCH easier to destroy a reputation than it is to build one.

It is not that I disagree with your sentiment.
We DO need to be good examples of our movement.
(And "racism" IS the unforgivable "sin" of the modern secular religion called Political Correctness.)
We SHOULD worry about our image.
But the number of "Who gives a crap what you/they think?" statements I read on this site doesn't make me hopeful.

Courtesy (and sensitivity), like charity, begins at home.
And if we can't be civil to the people with which we share so many important values, what are the chances we will be good ambassadors to the public at large.

Here's something I've found in trying to reason with leftists

I had this woman first try to get me to agree to a definition of racism. The definition wasn't something I'd object to, so I didn't have any problem with her definition, although it seemed way too detailed. Somewhere in there, denying that racism is a problem is a red flag that someone might be a racist. Sure, that's not a hill for me to die on...whatever.

Then, she took a level leap toward painting racism as anything that didn't jive with her political solutions to solving racism. From a statist's perspective, there was a logical connection between denial of racism and not agreeing with her political "solutions" to it - which, big surprise, just happens to further the socialist agenda. So she automatically views anyone who doesn't agree with her political solutions as racist.

They think they own racism as an issue and they want to use it to further their leftist agendas.

The problem for us is that people (whether they call themselves left or right or even Neonazi) really do think the left owns opposition to racism. People see the government as the big problem-solver in the world and here we are not advocating using the coercive power of government to fight racism. In the statist majority's eyes we're actively opposing the "fight" by opposing the use of government coercion.

That doesn't mean we don't have solutions that are better than theirs, but it does mean people will remain blind to them until we solve the problem of people thinking the government is the solution to everything.

Equality only exists in our laws since the creation of the socialist state. Traded government racist policy for slavery for everyone. Could true liberty evolve without this step? I often wonder.

I see a silver lining in this collapse of our current tyranny. Such expansive possibilities in the libertarian cause have never been closer to our grasp.

I am a Racist

One can acknowledge racial differences and even racial superiority without being collectivist or absolutist.

I can make the argument that a pony is less likely to win a horserace than an Arabian thoroughbread.

Walter Block got into a lot of trouble recently when he talked openly about race in one of his lectures. He was totally misunderstood as it turned out, but some of his school faculty members really tried to lay some damage on him for even broaching the topic.

I don't see what good talking about isms does for us (racism, ageism, sexism, hell maybe even speciesism).

I don't see what that has to do with people being racist, other than, it could be taken as an extreme, mind-abdicating response against -isms to the point of being an evil activity in itself.

The key is discernment in what it is that you are criticizing.

I am not saying silence discussion, I am saying racial-collectivists are not a true ally of any sort to individualist liberty lovers and it is important that the world knows that. It is also important to expose where and how racial-collectivists are wrong.

I agree racism is bad (prejudging people based on appearances is always bad) but too often racism is used as a tool by socialists to trample our freedoms. Let's just give the whole racism thing a rest. People are going to think what they are going to think.

Define Racism

I don't think many even have a clue as to what racism really is. Once it is understood, it really takes away the attempt to smear liberty as racist.

Racism is the lowest, most crudely primitive form of collectivism. It is the notion of ascribing moral, social or political significance to a man's genetic lineage -- the notion that a man's intellectual and characterological traits are produced and transmitted by his internal body chemistry. Which means, in practice, that a man is to be judged, not by his own character and actions, but by the characters and actions of a collective of ancestors.

The problem is....

who gets to define what is "racist?" The term as it is currently used in our society is an epithet, a "devil term" that is used to infringe upon people's freedom of thought.

Yes, I know there are actual racists, for example the multiculturalists like Janeane (sp?) Garofalo and the white supremacists preoccupied with the "mud people." However, their beliefs are irrelevant and moreover protected. As long as they do not infringe upon the civil rights of others we should not be policing them. The moment they break the law however, it's a different matter.

Here goes

1. Racism can best be defined as judging another individual's character based on their phenotype. Additionally, it may involve acting of certain manner, often in negative ways, towards others simply based on their phenotype.

2. The reason is is important to spell out that this movement has ZERO racist motivations, is because people who oppose the movement are constantly trying to associate it with racist groups and ideologies.

3. This movement is an individualist movement by definition (individual liberty, personal responsibility, equality of individuals under objective law), so it makes no sense to have any connections whatsoever with racism (a form of brutish collectivism). The people who try to tar us use all sorts of methods to tie the movement to racist groups because that is one of their key tactics. They should be made to look foolish for this.

4. People who are racist, if they do also happen to amazingly support the Liberty Movement (it takes some kind of mental dichotomy to hold both positions simultaneously), they should know that any bridge they try to make between the two dichotomous forms of thinking, will only HURT the Liberty Movement without helping their debauched cause. So basically, wise up and don't be a fool, is my point.

5. If we don't repudiate racism, more hazy-minded "political correct" type folks will try to link racism to us. So, let's pre-bunk their smears.

The Best way to stop Racism is to.......

Ignore it like the ugly little fit-throwing child that it is. Soon, it will cry itself to sleep. I'm so sick of race baiting. The funny thing is that this is mostly done by isolated whites who have about 3 blacks in their whole town. Race is so last century. Let go of it already.

how a post about "freedom" goes on to demand conformity of thought, according to the political correctness agenda.

The truth is that in a free society people are free to think as they wish, and if they wish to be bigoted, they are free to do so.
And if they with to be non-bigoted, they are free to do that too.

As long as no harm or infringement is caused by anyone's thoughts, their freedom to think as they wish is sacrosanct.
Anyone can think poorly of them for what they think, but when it comes to government enforcement of ideas, we are in trouble if we support that.

I am not talking about FORCING anybody to think a certain way (as if you can force people to think things!).

What I AM saying is that in terms of the spiritual and philosophical definition of this movement, racist ideologies PLAY NO PART.

Racism is foolish and ridiculous. People can hold those philosophies and thoughts all they want in their heads, but they ought not expect to find a supportive crowd of individuals in this movement.

My point of this post is to do my part to ONCE AND FOR ALL debunk and destroy the idea that the Liberty Movement is in some way closely tied to racist forms of thinking.

Anybody who cannot see the critical importance of focusing on individual-based thinking, understanding and judging of individual behavior, as well as objective law that applies equally to all individuals (not groups) is on a row boat with no oars.

Racism is a brutish form of collectivism and its practice (in any form) ought to be tossed in the dustbin of history by responsible and sound-minded individuals of all stripes.

the long way around to reiterate a common adage.

I believe racism is just another form of ignorance and bullying. It's my hope that racism is a leftover of previous generations and the oldest generation still living. It's my hope that racism is eliminated with our young people.

The government is using the racism card to keep the masses divided. This all falls back on the Marx conflict theory which says to keep the classes divided ( in our case it would be the classes and the races divided) so the government can do what they please while we are all preoccupied. By using their propoganda machine the msm to put this out to all the sheeple, there will continue to be a racism issue. The one thing they do not want is for the people to unite, because this would destroy everything they have set in motion. Great Post, Just One Thing....

Nice job. Couldn't possibly have said it better myself. However, in reality, those presently in power couldn't see it from a more opposite perspective. Religion and race bind us in deep ways....dare I say primitive ways. So while pushing for individual rights and liberties is awesome, it doesn't deal with the fact that there are certain groups of people who, under no circumstance, will give up their hold on power - and that power is a derivative of their faith and race. The world as we know it has been shaped through this simple reality. If you're not "one of us", you are the enemy. And the enemy must be destroyed for the sake of my own people's very survival. That's primitive thinking but it's real. And it will always dictate the course of human events.

Don't mean to sound hopeless, I'm just pragmatic. And no, I'm not suggesting anything other than people need to be aware of how the world and its people really think, as well as what motivates them.

But hopefully I'm wrong. I'd love to see a world centered solely around the individual.

I would also like to condemn those who USE race as publicity to gain an advantage. Such As: The Republicans continually harping that they have elected the first BLACK Chairman of the RNC! If I was Michael Steele I would be insulted that they mention it--as if that was one of the reasons they elected him! I would hope they elected him because he is an intelligent spokesperson with a good plan for the RNC.
The last election should have laid all of this aside and united the country, however, I believe it is being used to further divide.
