Remembering this came on sat mornings in between my favorite cartoons.
CDs should be made & sent to every politician in DC, including our new president who is supposed to be a constitutional scholar. I believe they have forgotten basic fundamentals & a more simplistic approach may be required.

i remember watching cartoons in the mornings in the late 90s and watching this!!! good times. I believe this was one of the first times i realized government existed.

Don't forget Mr. Bill, once you make it to the President's desk for signing, make sure there's enough room at the bottom of the page for those extra-Constitutional SIGNING STATEMENTS.

You see, Mr. Bill, the President can take a bill that say, bans torture, and simply write on the bottom, "will consider this law to be 'advisory' in nature," and sign away. See, that lets our elected Dictator-in-Chief disregard the Congress all together, making our system of government more "efficient," like it was in Germany in the 30s.

Nothing about:
- Starting in the Senate rather than the house (if not an appropriation bill).
- Amendments.
- Conference committee procedure if house/senate versions differ and the additional vote after.
- Needing 2/3 vote in both houses to override veto.
- Pocket veto if the bill is presented near enough to the end of the session.

And of course nothing about the possibility that it might be a bad idea to pass the bill into law. Or repeals. Or that laws are typically limits on what people can do.

But the young sheep now think they know what it's about.
