Interesting. We will have to keep an eye on this one, but things are starting to shake up a bit in Washington. Who knows how many skeletons may start falling out of closets.

I have a feeling this is all a planned charade to look as though the Fed is compliant and transparent.
I wouldn't doubt that this was all planned in anticipation to use as their defense against having H.R. 1207 enacted.
The Fed will say: "See, we're compliant! We're transparent! We gave up our emails!"
We all know that's baloney, but that's what I think they'll say.

It is about BoA, not about an audit.

Wouldn't an audit also seek
Wouldn't an audit also seek to find all of the Fed's transaction and contract agreements? If H.R. 1207 were to pass, I'm assuming that this BoA issue would also be requested during the complete audit of the Fed.
Basically, all information about the Fed's actions would be uncovered if H.R. 1207 passed and became law.

Which is why 1207 is so vital to the freedom movement.
Of course, in my limited time in politics I have seen smaller governments just cook the books and keep going... or bribe the auditors into a comfortable silence.
However, I have a feeling that there is no real way they can juggle thier books anymore, since they already have been juggling them for WAY too long. The discrepancies will be blinding.

I won't get too excited about
this until some substantial action is taken.
How many times have we seen these committees drag people before them...ask them a bunch of questions. Then nothing ever becomes of it. Except a whole lot of political posturing meant to appease the masses
comparing this development to subpoena of MLB players
for steroid abuse, id say that this is an encouraging step. Then again, who knows if its being initiated by BofA?

Isn't he screwed tho?
I mean, at this point, if he keeps what happens secret and it gets out later (with a financial collapse, for instance) the only thing Barney is going to be able to request is an undisclosed location for his burial so that the gravesite will not be repeatedly violated.
He's kinda in the hotseat on this one....
