The video camera added a whole new dynamic to the situation. Most start out with the officer looking a bit apprehensive, (if they see me pull up on the bike, the apprehensive period is shorter), but in the end, I do believe I get some seeds well set, and hopefully earn some respect, for us all, in the process.
This guy is the man!

Michael represents the rEVOLution so well
There is something so loving, gentle about this man's spirit. You can feel it just watching the video, and see it when others are around him.
I think he truly embraces this revolution in the best way possible. Christ said love your neighbors, and Michael is doing exactly this.
We should all look to Michael's humility and method of action and realize how much of an impact we might be able to make if we softened our hearts and loved thy neighbor.

Sure this video is pretty cool but how many people can he reach on his bike? People in all cities should be contacting the cops and getting them to think about these issues.
Otherwise soon enough they'll be pointing a gun at you.
Remember that ultimately these people want to put the smack down or they'd have been doctors. And they _will_ do what they are told, remember the Milgram experiment.
So go at it massively or don't hope it's going to have even a superficial impact.

When a cop says "be safe" he's being very sincere -- it is a universal gesture.
It's a testosterone way of saying, "take care, get home in one piece, and I look forward to next time."

Advice on how to best approach a Sheriff concerning this crazy world? I think I'm too direct a person....does not seem to bode well for me with authority figures. :|
I'm using babysteps thus far. I've sent out the Oath Keepers link to my local gop which my Sheriff and I are both committeemen. So, if anybody read their e-mail, I'm pretty sure some southern peep's hair is on political fire right now and it's been passed around but no word back.

Sheriff's -- There was a link here on DP that talked about a Sheriff's real constitutional authority -- being even greater (in local terms) than the Presidents.
Find it and Learn it. Then head down to you local Sheriff and remind him of his "true" power -- ask him what he thinks. Get to know him and then ask for a ride-a-long. Go out with him and make friends. Ask if you can bring a camera and tell him your doing a local and statewide campaign to raise awareness over lost liberties.
Sheriff's must run for re-election and a nice vid of him probably would be flattering and strategic. Make sure you want to stand behind his record -- question him on his record and idealism.
Then drop all the literature in his lap.
That's just a suggestion in 2mins -- churn it and make it equal to or better than. Something that works with how you think and in consideration of your ego, smile. We all have one.

Hmm,
I have to meet with the Cheif of the state troopers this afternoon to finilize registration of a fire arm, I think I'll bring a copy of The Revolution: A Manifesto that I was going to give to my mom and give it to him.
This is definatly what I like to see, we need to educate everyone, MOST IMPORTANTLY LAW ENFORCEMENT!
this is a much more positive way to go about change, while I do support the confrontations with the boarder patrol etc.. when justified, I'd much rather see things handled this way!
