Anyone else enjoying the Divide and Conquer technique being administered.

It's obvious that some here are actively involved in pushing divisiveness to break our resolve.
I'm just wondering, WHO ELSE IS HAVING FUN WITH ME?
LOL.. I mean it's a great feeling to know we are making the powers that be stand up take notice and try to divide us..
You know you're accomplishing something at that point.
Just want all you patriots out there who know what I'm talking about that you guys and gals are awesome.
I love to see others standing up for freedom.. Thank YOU. YOU'RE APPRECIATED!!!!

I get my liberty related news here, and...
a lot of entertainment too. It's fun listening to the bible-thumpers trying to persuade the logical thinkers that the fables from the bible should be taken literally.
The other stuff, well, you just have to learn to ignore it and not reply to keep from bumping the post. Sticks & stones, etc.

great answer.....very divisive as usual
you reply about people being divisive by bringing up "bible thumpers" who by the way don't start out talking down to anyone nor trying to divide anyone.
"It's fun listening to the bible-thumpers trying to persuade the logical thinkers that the fables from the bible should be taken literally."
So how exactly is that not being divisive? And please show me the many topics that are started by "bible thumpers" who are trying to persuade you of anything? I read these post often and it is normally a-holes like yourself who have very ugly and divisive things to say about people of faith simply because we don't believe the way you do. If we discuss something that we believe it isn't trying to "persuade" you of anything..I could care less how or what you believe as long as you are on the side of liberty and freedom for all.
But then I have read enough of your post to realize that you can't just let people be...why you and the other divisive "anti-faith" people see every mention of God or faith as some sort of persuasion argument that needs to be dismantled by nasty words and attacks, I will never understand.
I am sure that there isn't one single person that I agree with 100% of the time, and that is perfectly fine with me. There is a huge difference in being divisive and becoming clones. We don't have to agree, but surely we could have enough respect for our fellow freedom lovers to not come across as a raging asshole every time we get the chance.
You my friend are very divisive and it makes my day that you actually replied to this topic. Speaks volumes about your lack of character.
Hypocrite
Call people a-holes and pretend to be a christian? Is that what jesus would do?

I believe it is called
I believe it is called “righteous indignation”. Christians are not wimps, God has no use for a wimp. A Christian has a duty to call a spade a spade and an imbecile an imbecile.
Christians do so through ‘discernment’ and without judgment. To except that perversion is all around us, does not mean we must condone it.

Teachers, firemen, police are always threatend that their pension, pay or benefits will be reduced, unless they vote a certain way. This group of people are used to not reading the fine print (or never saw it) at the bottom of the voting agenda, and are in denial.

Blast from the past: don't forget this technique for dividing and conquering:
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/42663
The Delphi Technique probably works online, too. It is a good argument for never losing your temper, not using foul language, and avoiding sounding like a nut. Especially as all your opponent has to do is dig up your old rants to undermine you and marginalize you.

probably a bunch of Scotts or Irish people here who get a rush from arguing.
Some sort of genetic throwback from running around an island in skirts with big helmets with horns .
IT is good to talk about Divisive Issues,
How Else can you come at a compromise? Not in principle but where each parties needs and concerns are met.
For example take medical Cannabis. Even advocates of "legalization" do not want kids, teenagers to be using Cannabis. In fact, lowering the use of recreational drugs especially by teenagers is important to society. Just as lowering smoking of tobacco in society is important. Just as is lowering teenage drinking.
No one would argue that.
The divisiveness is not in the Issue but in how it is presented DISHONESTLY.
1) The Dishonesty of only focusing on a narrow aspect of the global issue.
2) Presenting Headlines with inbeded dishonesties.
3) Ignoring the personal liberty aspect of issues. X is bad therefore the government must ban X. (X= coke zero, m & m 's, ect)
4) There is nothing wrong as a public policy to encourage good behavior through education, but not "education" based on dishonesties, that fundamentally undermine thinking ability of those the "educated".
Or discourage "bad" behavior or deviant behavior.
Don't ask don't tell, out of sight out of mind is the best policy for issues such as Cannabis. It is like sex. Something you keep in the privacy of your own home.
Unfortunately, prohibitionist bring the issue to the front of consciousness by their violence against people they consider "deviant" who are not their enemy. Substitute Gay Rights / Alternative Medicine / for Cannabis if you want.
The same principle applies with gay rights. By railing against gay marriage being "gay" is put in the forefront of conscousness and now more and more teenagers are "comming out"..
Rebelling being "gay". Just as many kids are rebelling smoking pot.
This isn't rocket science.
Concentrate on the profound dishonesties in the arguments.
By their works you shall know them. Their hearts.
Dominance and Control... They are liars just like their Father the Devil.
Conflict is a drug.
So...
what are you saying about Scotts? I've a long line of Scotts in my family. You want to argue about it!...Oh, sorry, I just proved your point didn't I....
I do however disagree with your pointing out tobacco. Tobacco is a brutalized plant. Do you know why it is so bad for you to smoke commercially produced tobacco? It's the preservatives they use to increase it's shelf life. A friend of mine's dad was a tobacco inspector in NC. He knew the horrors of commercial tobacco, so did the commercial tobacco farmers. That's why they always grew some for themselves on the side, but they grew it organically and kept the pesticides off of it. Also, they home cured it, cherry, honey, apple, peach...GOOD stuff. He'd often come by with a bag of good homegrown - what can you say...Like anything out there, corporitization is usually a major step to seriously screwing up the product. Another fine use for tobacco is that it is an excellent plant for pulling toxins out of contaminated soil, just don't smoke those!!! Let's go green.
Conflict is a drug?! What to argue that...sorry, Scottish..., but American first.

If there are trolls here
I think their purpose is to discourage, distract, and divide.
No, I am NOT enjoying it Oruval!
Its a distraction ...as is meant to be! I would rather we expand than buy into in those circular, divisive, annoying threads...we know who they are and what they want and it seems after all this time ..we still can't resist feeding into it!?
How about some different tactics to outflank the "enemy" ?

A while back
I found that a tactic that seemed to help, was to start 5 threads about the subject they dislike, for every post one of them makes.
After a while, they get the picture.
Even if they are a bit thick in the head.

We need to take personal responsibility for choosing 1.) to be a part of continuing this divisive crap or 2.) outflanking this same OBVIOUS tactic we have seen for the last two years
Why do so many of us allow the obvious drunk driver to have the wheel?
