Jane Hamsher with Fire Dog Lakes Blog, about 20 minutes ago (12:15 central times) talked about Ron Paul's bill, H R 1207, saying there are now 222 co-sponsors. They are taking calls for her. I hope someone can get a video up of the segment where she talked about 1207. Now I'm going back to listen to callers.
One thing that makes RP different from any other Representative is his bedside manner. He speaks like he's talking directly to you and not above you like most elected officials. He doesn't come across as "holy" or "cowboy" or "slick" or "silly."
He has the ability to speak directly at you even though he is speaking in an announcement. That's the Ron Paul difference.
And he made one really good point. The fed will look really bad if they try to sink the bill...like they are hiding something. The fed is in a no win situation. If they stop the audit, then they look like they are hiding something. If the audit actually happens then the truth as to their shenanigans are exposed.

to emailing and calling the MSM to discuss HR1207. It is getting no play in the the news. I have written to everyone from Lou Dobbs to Cavuto. It couldn't hurt and certainly might help especially if Dr.Paul agrees to discuss HR1207 live with any of the MSM..What do you think?
I caught a segment about the GAO on Lou Dobbs last night.
That could have been some relation to what HR1207 would do and to better inform the public about the GAO.Interesting that the employees are audited every year regarding financial statements and must sign a statement that their reports are not influenced by anyone else,I presume under penalties. http://www.gao.gov/

Nope, I don't feel any better about Kucinich. RP came out with his bill in February. Kucinich could have been rallying Dem support since then but instead chose to sponsor his own bill in May, and it doesn't cover anything Paul's bill doesn't cover. (Am I wrong about this? If anyone knows differently please respond.) It doesn't even require reviews. The reviews only happen when the Comptroller General determines such actions are appropriate. The current Comptroller General was assigned, not confirmed, when the previous Comptroller General resigned; therefore his job is not safe.
Kucinich waited till it became obvious 1207 had enough momentum to pass the House. I can't believe Dennis isn't well aware that a repeal of the exclusions from title 31 is necessary for a real audit. RP is a very nice man.
And Kucinich voted for Obama's slavery bill.
And he sponsored HR 555 last Jan. for a "universal prekindergarten program to ensure all children 3, 4, and 5 years old have access to a high-quality full-day, full-calendar-year prekindergarten education." In this economy?
And somebody has posted he voted for a gun ban.
I used to think it was great that he pursued impeachment, but maybe it was just for show. They always use national security as an excuse to avoid answering real questions. Time and money wasted, as Dr. Paul has said.

This is why I think HR 2424 doesn't add anything to 1207:
HR 2424
...to authorize reviews by the Comptroller General of the United States of any credit facility established by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System or any Federal reserve bank ...
These credit facilites derive their audit protections under the umbrella of the audit protections given to the Board of Governors. 1207 allows a full auditing of the Board of Governors and Federal Reserve banks. A credit facility established by the Board of Governors should be included in an audit of the Board of Governors.
Not only that but there are restrictions placed on 2424: A "review" happens only when the GAO director deems it appropriate (the current director has only interim status, so his job is not secure), and 2424 is sunsetted after five years, so if an honest director is in there then that's tough.
Submitted by The Granger on Sat, 06/13/2009 - 13:23.
I think Ron Paul put up 1207 to see the response to "deep water", and when Kucinich saw it was good... Kucinich posted 2424, a lessor bill, making him a nice guy by compariosn, to the CEO of Bank of America? As committe chair Dennis was all but accusing the CEO of a rip off, and after the committee, he turned around and signed 1207 like, kiddy pool is over! And Ron Paul signed 2424... it's a unison.. left and right..stand from the marginalized, the ones with the common sense and LOVE to keep on fighting a good fight.
We are INSIDE the matrix, the NWO is upon us, so it's not a matter of stopping the NWO, but it's a matter of establishing a NWO with leaders like Ron Paul and Kucinich who may not agree with everything, but agree on principles all of us here believe in.

DK voted against the Patriot Act and funding the war, but there was no chance his votes would change the outcome. In an area where his vote could make a difference, global warming, he is on the wrong side, for moving aggressively to reduce emissions to combat global warming and for ratifying the Kyoto Protocol. He's been in politics for a long time, knows all about the Fed, big banks and big corporations, so he should know the profit connection to global warming - or maybe he really is just clueless Dennis the Menace.
Gore owns the big company that trades the carbon credits. Gore's company's “founding partners” are studded with officials from Goldman Sachs. Hank Paulson is a co-founder.
The European Climate Exchange, ECX, has about 80 member companies, including Barclays, BP, Calyon, E.ON UK, Endesa, Fortis, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Shell, and ECX has contracted with the European Union to further develop a futures market in carbon trading. What’s in it for the companies? They will benefit either by investing in carbon credits or by receiving subsidies for doing so. Businesses benefit from regulations that “will carve out niche markets or obstruct competition”
Citigroup entered the emissions trading market in May '07; Bank of America in June '07.

Except he'd have to be psychic, and he could have used his name and that time to rally Dem support. I expected he would sign on when it became obvious it was unstoppable. I'm not surprised he chose a publicity milestone number. His bill though could have added confusion and cover for not supporting 1207. 1207 may have to be attached to 2424 in order to avoid confusion. Then DK gets to ride the coat tails of 1207's fame. He may even then end up with equal credit to RP.
You're right! I don't trust DK at all, his stated goals for the fed is to use it to fund all his socialistic programs.
Basically it is because of us, all the grass root efforts we put in over these few months that this bill got all this attention.
DK does not have the national level support that RP does, not even close. That is the difference, and why we all most ramp up our efforts as the real fight is going to start now and without massive pressure from us, RP cannot do it alone.

Sneaky ol' fox. Still, I suppose the minutiae of Monetary.org's involvement in Dennis' HR2424 is an issue to be addressed further down the line.
218 for publicity, cannot say I can disagree at this point; there apparently seems to have been some tag-team action between HR1207 & HR2424...

I love to be optimistic about things, but even if this bill passes in the house, it will probably get slammed in the senate. And, if by some miracle, it passes in the senate, it may get a veto from the president. (If that's the way it works).
The powers against this are lined up and they are formidable. It's not just Geitner and Bernanke, it's the Rockefeller influence, the CFR and the Old Boys' network that insist on secrecy and back-room manipulations. That is how the FED got created in the first place.
And yet, even if it doesn't become law, something good has happened: millions of people are now aware of the FED and the skulduggery behind it. This is a good thing.
So if it doesn't pass this time around, then maybe next time - when the FED's reputation is in ruins.
