The Obama administration is working to water down the Real ID law after 11 states refused to participate because of the cost.
But that runs counter to an effort by New York Sen. Charles Schumer, who has long touted a "forgery-proof" worker ID card, secured with biometric data such as fingerprints.
Schumer, the new chairman of the immigration subcommittee, will lead the effort to craft the Senate's comprehensive immigration overhaul legislation, according to The Los Angeles Times. He called the card the best way to ensure that all workers were authorized.

And I have no desire for it to pass but the reason it will never pass is because they really do not want to deal with the influx of illegal aliens in this country.

I believe that is documentation...
that I might just accidentally continuously drop in the shredder each new time it was issued. That is assuming of course that I'd sit idle for its issuance. We are quickly moving towards a time dangerously similar to those described in Revelation. I ask not that you believe if you do not, but at minimum recognize the evil greed set behind these types of intentions from a government rapidly declining into open tyranny.

All this would be a moot point if two simple fixes were made.
First, eliminate the anchor baby rule.
