GA 13th congressional district

0 votes

There is a freedom candidate considering running for Georgia's 13th district seat (Smyrna and Southwest around Atlanta down to part of Henry County). At present he seems committed to taking no corporate support, so it will be a low dollar door-to-door campaign. The guy is a young programmer, but in some ways reminds me of Kokesh. My question is can we count on any volunteers from this forum if he decides to push something for 2010?

Yes

You can count on people from all over to help. My campaign for US Congress in South Carolina got it's first big contribution from someone in the midwest. My student/summer intern staff member came down from Wake Forest to work for free. Your candidate is welcome to call or email me for how to get it off the ground. 803-649-5727 office number M-F around noon. email drmikevasovski@msn.com. and visit our website
www.VasovskiforCongress.com.
Everybody will tell you one thing, it takes door-to-door by the candidate to win and then, everything else including money.
Once he files officially with the FEC, which costs nothing, he becomes a voice that will be heard and will make a difference. Take it and run with it. See how far you can go. He must start TODAY, there's precious little time left until your primaries.
Peace and liberty, -mike

You're not providing enough info

Who? Are corporations offering him money? Pretty hard to turn down $100K to run for the first time. What's the candidates' name? Going door to door is not smart for a candidate unless it's a planned block walk through.. there are other ways to get to know youre community.

I am interested in vetting RP candidates. I THINK that's what C4L is doing with Kokesh, Harris, Rand Paul and Peter Schiff..

I believe it would be appropriate for your candidate to write a letter saying who they are and why they are running. I think it's exciting!

I'll get you the info

as soon as he commits to the effort. At this point, there are only a handful of us with an idea. So, no, nobody is offering him money. Perhaps I should have worded my post more carefully (for you). We're looking for at least a few additional people who might be counted on to do campaign work...IN PRINCIPLE.

Of course, you'll want to get to know the guy and see if you support his platform etc.. But my impression is that he will be supportable on this basis. And he also has some significant ties in the community, but it's a big place 700,000 people.

Thanks for the advice on not going door to door. I guess we'll just sit home at our keyboards and hope for the best. I'm glad we don't have to worry about that. Whew...there are "other ways." Great.

And thanks for the interest.

It's a sincere interest

As a Granger, we have pancake breakfasts where about 400 people show.. and during elections, people running for local office come and pour coffee and gives the community an opportunity to get to know the candidate and the candidate to know the community. Most Grange halls do this, and frateral orgs, Moose, Elk, Eagles, Lions, I don't know about Georgia, my guess is they have some fraternal organizations.. and other groups.. So I'm interested in .. You would have a mighty hard time connecting with allot of these rural people door to door... volunteering to help gets you to meet ALLOT of people in a possitive way.

I also have a sincere interest because I helped Nader with ballot access for three elections, before the last when I opted to join the rEVOLution, and wond up voting for Nader a forth time, because An Indepenent has the RIGHT to be on the ballot.

GOOD LUCK with your good fight! And HAPPY CAMPAIGN TO WIN!

Thanks for the advice.

I don't know what a Granger is, and most of us are pretty independent types that eschew any such organizations...though apparently one of us has joined the Rosacrucians in some sort of effort at infiltration---I don't really know what that's about. In any case, I didn't mean to put you off with my smart-ass comments. We are rather novices; mostly our only experience is with the Ron Paul campaign. All kidding aside, let me emphasize that we are open to concrete suggestions. Looking into making presentations at pancake breakfasts sounds like a great idea. We should contact the elks and the moose, and eagles and lions and lammas and the yaks...I guess we'll have to watch out for the droppings.

The Grange

Patrons of Husbandry, the Grange is an organization of, by and for farmers. It is how we organize and establish a voice to speak at cities where we do not live, but depend on. Grange established 4H, Future Farmers, put Ag in college, gave us rural mail, rural power... The South backed out of the Grange when the Grange accepted black farmers.. I'm not kidding, and that was like 1920s that happened.

I don't know how much you appreciate door to door... my NO TRESPASSING signs kinda tell you where I am on that. Out here, no one goes door to door, except when a new person moves in town... they get the door to door treatment becasue they don't know the town has always been organized by organizatons. Frankly, I enjoy it. I love the Grange.

GOOD LUCK now!!!!

in GA but district 6

in GA but district 6

I'm in GA, but not Dist. 13...

...however, he will find great support here IMO, and beyond once views/commitment are better established.

The Freedom movement is big in Georgia and growing day by day.

David Scott needs to be sent home.

We've elected Paul Broun several times here in my district and will continue to do so.

Thanks

There are four or five of us now, but we're thinking we'll need a dozen or so to effectively organize some kind of campaign. (And thanks for the bump.)

I might possibly be able to

I might possibly be able to do some art work.

I guess

I'll take that as a "no."
