Project 2010, Abolish the NY state government!
It is a group of citizens in New York who are trying to establish a mass voting drive independently from the government about whether they should abolish the current NY government.
"Over the past few weeks, since announcing “Project 2010” I have been asked how this process works and how will the state continue to function without the State government.
Though every person I have spoken to agrees with the concept of eliminating the State government and reestablishing a new government under a new constitution, many question how this will affect the functions of State government until a new constitution can be ratified.
Simply put, the absence of the government will have little or no detrimental affects on the operations of the State. The elimination of the State government is very much like the removal of the Board of Directors of a major corporation. Just watching the video...why do they want to
institute a new government after the current one is abolished? Why not try freedom instead of statism?

I am so sick of NYS Government that I don't know where to start! I became aware of project 2010 after seeing a sign in a neighbor's yard. We need lots of these signs! Where do I get one? I don't consider myself to be an off- the- wall- wacko. I am just tired of seeing high taxes, business leaving our state, our young people running from our state in search of jobs and a better life. Our choice
was to abolish government instead of pushing for a 51st state for Western New York. A 51st state would need the approval of the other states. Abolishment can be done. This will be a long process, more than likely going into 2011. It is well organized and professional. We need coordinators/educators in all 62 counties, we have 21 so far. So how are you going to convince a police state like NY to step down? Also, how will you rewrite the NY Constitution to ensure it doesnt happen again? How do you know that some of the members of your organization are not just going to make the next government worse?

As is needed everywhere, critical mass. Also, we are pursuing the power of the sheriff. Educate the populace.

It does well at putting forth solutions to our corrupt government - gerrymandering, fusion, ballots, party power, board of elections.... My suggested inclusion, or rather, exclusion, is to not have a consistent mention of the word God, but only mentioned once as in the original founding fathers declaration. Two, there should be nothing on marriage. Otherwise, it is solid, and is a start.
We must act and do the best we can. Things cannot stay the same. Anything is possible, but worse? Let's work to not let that happen.

it would be hard to convince the same sheeple who voted a "third" term for Bloomberg, to sign off on this..........some people shouldn't be allowed to breed let alone vote....

thank you for posting this, i just sent it to ted costa, the man who spear headed the ousting of gov. gray davis who was then replaced with the equally ineffective arnold schwarzenegger. "if at first you don't succeed try try again", until we get it right. in the past he has spoken about doing something like this in california as we need to replace the california legislature.
