I think this is an interesting video.
The very same police that are trying to disperse the protesters, are then captured by those same protesters. the ending is particularly telling.
What does it tell you?

The way a girl sitting in front of him squares her shoulders seems to say "I'm not sitting here by accident. I am shielding him."
It tells me the people on the streets don't all see each other as "The Other" right now.

It says to me that these so called savage muslims are folks that
just want to be left alone, just like us. And, that the powers that be the world over are just like ours, they don't want to leave us alone. I think that policeman will be siding more with the "policed" from now on.

It tells me the people are better than the government officials
And I think that officer had an epiphany.

every independent pol i have looked at shows the incumbent won. there is no proof of any voter fraud. it looks like outside of tehran where the people are wealthier and educated all of the country voted at least by a margin of 3 to1 for mahmod.

I can't tell what is happening
Is this CIA backed?
Is the US government afraid of losing Ahmejden?
Is the CIA losing control of the unrest?
As I see it the US needs Ahmed to stay in power. Maybe after this blows over or an escalation comes from either side we will join the fray and add to the confusion.
I think you have it right.
US policymakers need Ahmed to be their new Saddam--a diplomatic whipping boy who is reviled in the world Press, and eventually invaded and put to the sword after many years of saber-rattling bloviation.

I consider some similarities between the Ron Paul movement, and what could happen in Iran. We want to be heard, and we want to be free to choose our own destiny.

Whatg does the ending tell you?
I know what it says to me.
It confirms what I have been saying to others for a long time.
No matter where you go, where you look in the world, people are mostly the same. We are all just trying to live our lives, raise our children, enjoy our families and friends, all with a little dignity, peace, and hopefully some pleasure along the journey. It's always government, religion, or money and power that manages to screw it all up.
I saw it said somewhere recently that if government is so great, why does it have to be forced on you.
I respect different cultures and religion, but don't want anything forced on me. Well, I'm sure most inhabitants of this planet feel the same way. And when I see these people trying to show a little compassion to the very people that were pushing them around, it simply shows me that they are no different then I am.
