Rand Paul: A Different Republican

CRESCENT SPRINGS - Rand Paul told a group of Northern Kentucky conservatives Saturday that he is a different kind of Republican.
Paul, 46, a Bowling Green eye surgeon, has formed an exploratory committee and is considering running for the U.S Senate seat held by Sen. Jim Bunning. Secretary of State Trey Grayson, a Boone County Republican, has also formed an exploratory committee, which allows potential candidates to raise money and spend money as they test the waters for a possible campaign.
Paul, who spent the weekend in Northern Kentucky, said the GOP has lost is way and that a more conservative voice representing Kentucky is needed in Washington.
"We are going rapidly to the left now because the left has an articulate spokesman," Paul said. "President Obama is more articulate than most of the Republicans we have up there. We need somebody who can counter balance that and present our ideas."

I really like this guy!
He'll make a great senator. IMO, he also has some very serious potential to eventually become president.
Go Rand!
The only comment I have is that he should try to stay away from using left and right as descriptions. In my opinion, even though he is trying to connect to the populist sentiments, it reinforces an erroneous concept and can become a distraction from the true battle for freedom.
I wish Rand all the best and am glad he is up to the challenge!
For him and anyone willing to stand in the gap, God Bless you all.
