Pulled this up for another thread, thought it deserved a thread of its own.

May they watch over us all.

Some real horror stories..some probably justified....

Well, when I say 'justified' I mean, justifiable in terms of law and common sense. When a Viet Nam vet sits on his front porch with a rifle and says "You'll have to kill me first." the local SWAT team will be more than obliging.

Balance that with the 88 year old bed-ridden grandmother shot to death during a drug raid - on the wrong house - and you begin to see the validity in the calls for the end to this 'war on drugs'.

Certainly there is enough there to make anyone's blood boil. I know mine is.

I may not know the truth, but I know when I'm being lied to...

being taunted justifies murder?

Why do they ALWAYS shoot to kill?
A Viet Nam Vet has served his country, and for his efforts he probably has a few loose screws and a habit. Can't we just wing him, and let him sober up?

Why are they there? Are they at the right house? Did he even commit a crime, or was sitting on his porch pissed off at the "War On Drugs" crime enough?

I prefer to have my justification fit "what is right" rather than what is legal. The laws of this land are not something I hold in much esteem. Common sense, on the other hand, would say "don't kill people for non-violent CHARGES." Remember, ALL these people are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Ooooohhhh... not going there with you....

Taunting? Threatening police with a rifle is taunting??

Go to your happy place. I'm agreeing with you.

The government goes around killing innocent people in countries

all over the world and then they also go into innocent peoples homes and kill them on mere suspicion. Welcome to the New American century.
