So B.F. is a Libertarian all of the sudden? LOLs

"I think John Stuart Mill had it right in the 1850s," said Congressman Frank, "when he argued that individuals should have the right to do what they want in private, so long as they don't hurt anyone else. It's a matter of personal liberty. Moreover, our courts are already stressed and our prisons are over-crowded. We don't need to spend our scarce resources prosecuting people who are doing no harm to others."

B.F. a libertarian?

Yeah right, let alone a big "L" Libertarian. Methinks the incentive behind introducing this bill is to get more of his pages all loopy so that he can show them what his initials really mean...

Are you a person?

Do you really control your own affairs?

Frank is a nut

Decriminalizing pot... I'm in favor of repeal of Federal Drug Laws as an advocate for States' Rights

BUT FRANK is a nutcase...

Here he is again trying to get Freddie and Fannie to relax loan requisites

DailyPaul shouldn't put much stock into this guy

If Ron can trade his (and

If Ron can trade his (and our) support for Barney's MJ legislation for Barney's support for 1207, it's a win-win. B-)

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.

Think for yourself, question authority

Just remember folks...

that any legislation that decriminalizes anything needs to be worded so that the responsibility is placed back under the jurisdiction of the proper authorities; namely, the People. Any "force reduction" is liable to be canceled out by a "surge" at a later date. Assert Your Authority

maybe bf has a libertarian bf

i know one of bf's last bf's worker for franny or freddie and he protected them pretty good!

I would like to see these bills gain traction

Thomas Jefferson once said, "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground."

Well, I guess he called that one.

Most Dems are...

social libertarians.

If you happen to live in Florida, we have a Medical Marijuana petition drive going, so look on Meetup, Facebook, etc. for this issue and help.

Or go to www.pufmm.org for the main web site.

Fossils Rock!

'Cause there's a monster on the loose

Contacted.

I contacted Congressman Tom McClintock from my parent's district in California about the decriminalization bill. I will soon contact my Rep here in Nevada, Dean Heller. Start putting the pressure on Congress about this. Bring up the fact about how illegitimate prohibitions are. I think I might try contacting Kucinich and Kaptur about this too. This seems like a bill they would cosponsor. Considering how those two are fairly outspoken, it might be worth trying to get them on board.

Does anyone know the bill

Does anyone know the bill number? This might be worth contacting our representatives about...

Found it!

Ok, so Frank has introduce 2 bills. One for decriminalization which currently has 5 cosponsors, and one that would allow states to issue medicinal marijuana without Federal interference that currently has 18 cosponsors.
The decriminalization bill is titled HR 2943, and the medicinal bill is titled HR 2835. Ron Paul is a cosponsor of both bills. I think that we should start contacting Congress about these bills as well.

I thought I heard that Frank

I thought I heard that Frank and Paul were trying to introduce a bill together last session about decriminilizing marijuana. Does anyone know about this?

Tey introduced it. It went nowhere.

Same place this one will go.
And Frank is not so much a libertarian as a hedonist, it seems to me.
Did anyone hear the Obamessiah say it was not up for consideration? Drugs is how this whole smoke and mirrors thing gets funded. The elite have private prisons to fill, can't do that without a bunch of potheads to imprison.
Again, I would LOVE to be wrong, and will offer again to eat crow, humble pie and my smelly sneakers if it would help me be wrong.

Truth exists, and it deserves to be cherished.

Need recipes?

I'll provide you with recipes for crow, humble pie, and smelly sneakers when it passes.

Of course smoking a joint first will help it all go down easier.

And I will feast like it is the finest meal I ever ate

But I might need two doobies...
