Email Anti-Ron Paul Journalist in Dayton Daily News

This guy wrote an article about Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee in the Dayton Daily News. In it, he basically said Ron Paul was unelectable and he had fringe ideas. I emailed him this:

[read your article in the Dayton Daily News. You are doing a disservice to the American political system by casting your doubts on Ron Paul nearly a year before the election.

It appears to me that you have done little research into the beliefs of Ron Paul, and only look at his fringe supporters. The truth is, the majority of his supporters are not conspiracy theorists. They are normal people like myself. They are workers, teachers, students, policemen, blue-bloods, blue-collar, Democrats, Republicans,Libertarians, economists, strategists, politicians, andmilitary personnel (he recieved more donations from active servicemen than any other candidate last quarter.)

It also appears that the mainstream media has already picked Clinton and Giuliani as the front-runners, leaving very little room for other candidates to get their foot in the door.

I advise you to take a closer look at Ron Paul's beliefs.]

He replied:

[wow, I write a piece largely defending paul from his detractors and that barely cause you to stumble before calling me ignorant and unfair. I'm sorry, but no sale. I think I probably know a good deal more about paul and his ideologial forebears than you do. And, regardless, if you think a candidate seeking to abolish the welfare state root and branch is electable you don't have a strong grasp on reality, nevermind american politics. I wish it were otherwise but it isn't.

Jonah Goldberg ]

To which I replied:

[Sir, I highly doubt you know more than me. You may have different beliefs,
but that does not make you right. You were not defending Ron Paul. You
started your article right off the bat saying that Ron Paul was crazy and
stood no chance of winning. May I remind you that were are still nearly a
year away from the election? It is media figures like yourself who discredit
candidates, so that no one besides the 'top-tier' has a chance to win.

The truth is, most Americans find something to agree with in Ron Paul's
platform. He seeks to end the Welfare state because, you know what, what
good does it do? We can still take care of the poor and sick here at home
(which he wants to do with the money we would save by leaving Iraq and quit
policing the world), but do we really need to have this massive system? Why
do I have to pay Social Security? I am young and will most likely see NONE
of my money when I retire. You know why? Because the Congress keeps taking
money from the SS funds. Ron Paul wants to give me the option of leaving the
system, so I can put my money in a bank. It is just below robbery what the
government is doing. I dont want my money to pay for this unjust war, or
this needless space program, etc....

You're right. I dont accept American politics. Because American politics got
George W. Bush and the neoconservatives elected. It is time for change. We
treat our veterans and our poor like subhumans, we drop bombs all around the
world, we police foreign nations at the taxpayers expense. We have given up
the hunt for Bin Laden. Our dollar continues to fall. Our economy is going
to crash any day now. Why should be stay the course in American politics if
the usual suspects continue to ruin this nation?

Ron Paul stands for change. You sir, stand for conformity and apathy. If you
want more debt, more taxes, less civil liberties, more war, more hatred in
the world, and more government control of your life, then vote for one of
the main politicians. But if you want a better life, one where the law is
respected, where you can do as you please as long as you dont harm others,
and where you dont have the majority of the world wanting to bomb you, then
vote for Ron Paul.]

If you guys could email him expressing your dissatisfaction, that would be great. Let him know that the MSM cant just pick the winners...We, the people, are the deciders.

His email is jonahnro@aol.com

Thanks,

Cameron

What do you mean? I still

What do you mean? I still like Ron Paul. I just hate evangelicals, intolerance, and conspiracy nutcases. Nothing has changed, except I grew some balls and am no longer afraid to disagree.

Disagreeing is one thing

HATING is another.
You don't simply disagree...you are rude and crude and full of "hate"...
You may have grown some balls...that's commendable...now grow some manners and social ethics to go with them.
Ron Paul would be a good example to follow.

How do I hate?
