Today on "Freedom Watch," 2008 Libertarian Party VP candidate Wayne Root said he is considering running against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in 2010.

The discussion starts a bit past the half way point of the video.

I'd support him
That would be a big win to get him in there over Reid.
Reid is not popular in Nevada.

What District Do You Live In?
Hi Octobox,
What district do you live in? There may be opportunities for appearances in the media there even if you don't have your own talk show.
Oh God -- Yet another "Leader" to give us "Individualism"

If You Run Congress, I Would be Interested in Your Campaign, Too
Hi Octobox,
If you decide to lead the charge by running for public office such as Congress, I would be happy to hear about your campaign. Perhaps I would contribute to your effort, too. Best wishes.
WhitfieldGeorge: If I was popular enough to defeat
the liberal democrat running my district I would rather use that popularity to have a talk show and educate from a position of higher authority.
Imagine if Ron Paul would have a talk show -- He'd have 20M people listening per week -- imagine the education America would receive.

I Hope He Decides to Run, I Will Contribute
I hope Wayne Root decides to run against Harry Reid. If he does I will contribute to his campaign. Root lives in Nevada and would get much media attention for liberty and Reid is atrocious.
Wasn't
Wayne Root Bob Barr's VP?
The Libertarian candidate for the recent election year?
I thought if I'm not mistaken that Bob Barr shunned Ron Paul.
I'll have to Google it to be sure.
Root
Root is generally pretty good. I don't agree with him on everything, but in general he's good, and he's certainly exponentially better than Reid. I think a lot of people don't like Root simply because of his eccentric personality.
I agree
and imho, ol' give 'em help harry needs to go as bad as pelosi and about 400+ other congresscritters I can think of....
I would definitely support Root in a race against reid.

don't get bob barr into this please!
Wayne A. Root wasn't chosen to be B. Barr's vp, he was elected...meaning Barr got more votes than Root at the libertarian party's nominating convention, but Root got more than the rest of the nominees. It doesn't mean that Root is one of Barr's cronies. burry the hatchet on this one.
Just asking
A question. Thanks for the answer.
Harry Reid
is a sniveling little bitch.
